"Wow, wow, wow," I heard a whistle from behind me, and I immediately cringed.
No.
Please.
Anyone but homework guy.
"Does my friend have a ittle wittle cwush?" he spoke in an extremely annoying tone, making me cringe.
"Are you a ittle wittle baby," I mimicked him, with a weird look on my face.
"You aren't denying it," he sang in a sing song voice.
"There's nothing to deny," I said, shrugging half heartedly, "I like him."
His eyes widened in surprise, and I honestly didn't blame him.
For once in my life, I had openly admitted that I took a romantic interest in a human male.
"Did you just-"
"I did."
He let out a dramatic gasp, covering his mouth with his hands.
"Wow, never thought I'd live to see the day you admitted how you truly felt."
"But I show you how I truly feel when you always borrow my homework."
"We all know you love giving your homework to me."
"Dream on. Anyways, what happened to your crush?"
He widened his eyes, his mouth frowning bashfully, like he was desperately trying to deny it.
"C-crush? Me?"
"Yeah. You," I smiled evilly, "wasn't that girl from the next class? The one with the pretty brown hair and long golden hoop earrings?"
He widened his mouth.
"You're not supposed to know that!"
"I've known you for how many years now?" I chuckled, "Oh yeah, three. I spent three years of my life having you annoy the fuck out of me. Of course I'm gonna notice when you start blushing around your crush."
He showed a distasteful expression and then let out a sigh.
"I'll tell you then," he said, looking haughty.
"Tell me what?"
He motioned me to come closer to him, trying to whisper something in my ear.
"I'm going to ask her out soon," he whispered, and I immediately put my hand over my mouth.
"Do you have that much confidence?" I asked him, widening my eyes, "oh my god."
"Fuck, do I look like I have any confidence?" he scowled, "I have this urge to run away whenever I see her."
"Oh my god," I repeated.
"What?"
"You're going to ask a girl out," I gasped, not able to believe it, "oh my god."
"Shut up," he flushed in embarrassment, "I really like her."
"I can see."
"Gah."
I chuckled, finding his shyness adorable. I never expected that he'd be such a shy person when it came to the person he liked, but then again, so am I.
Surprises can be found everywhere.
"You've grown up," I said.
"Shaddup."
Who would've thought, though?
