"No! I'm just saying that I'M too old for her!"

"Nobody's too old for her!" Blondie scoffed. Rin finally snapped out of it and pushed the boy away.
"I have a preference too you know!"
"your preference is yourself isn't it!"

Rin stuck out her tongue, "bleh~"

Both E and Mahoton glanced at each other with awkward looks. Neither really knew what to do. But Mahoton spoke up anyways.
"Hey, umm. Did you hear Rin out? Or just jumped to conclusions?"

"She ran away before I could hear her out. Then I followed her to find... you two." The blond guy described a bit pathetically.
"Oh, that's right. My name is Solaris Soleil, heard of me before?"

"I'm pretty new here, so no." Mahoton said a bit shyly while rubbing his head.

Rin's eyes widened, "You actually never heard of THE Solaris Soleil?!"
Solaris rolled his eyes at her, "Have you finally lost your rationale? He didn't react when he saw me so obviously he has been living under a rock!"
Rin blushed in embarrassment.
Solaris continued, "Also mind telling me what the hell happened before you ran away?"
"Ah... that. So..." she explained the situation in a few words and made it sound even more messier than it was.
At the end, all three listeners had a wtf face.

"So did he or did he not kiss you?!" Solaris interrupted her, massaging his temples in frustration.
"He made a really strange face before doing the deed."
"I beg of you. Talk. Normally."
"...he did."

Mahoton butts in. "So he was the one that instigated the kiss?"

"Yes! The audacity he had to kiss a taken lad- mmmph!?"
Solaris who covered Rin's mouth casually, "I have a question for you two."

Mahoton faced twisted to being annoyed. "No, we aren't her 'other boyfriends' if that's what you're thinking."

Solaris, "well, that too, but mainly, are you both registered as mages?"

Mahoton,"I'm an Earthnull, and Samuel here has no magic, he's just my editor, he came here to visit me and talk about some of my books."

Solaris gave them a mild look of interest, "You're an author?"

The girl who was being ignored suddenly brightened up, "Solaris loves books! He probably knows all the authors there are on this planet- mph!?"

Rin's boyfriend covered her mouth once again, but this time because he was embarrassed. He whispered to her, "I'm still mad, you troublesome girlfriend."
Rin went pale.

Mahoton, "umm, yeah. My pen name is Mahoton. I'm guessing you know some of my works such as: exorcisms and ash, let's have a picnic in another dimension, and the  small knight that could."

E gave Mahoton a side eye. "kinda boastful, don't you think?"

Mahoton just shakes his head a bit. "No, Rin didn't come to me specifically, she just bursted into the room."

Quietly the other side pointed out, "This cafeteria has windows and there are three other places she could have hidden, but she chose this place specifically. Coincidence? I think not."

"While we argued, I noticed that you, Mr. Mahoton, have a tracker on your sleeve. Not to mention that as a resident mage, I immediately felt a magic nullification in this place so I rushed over."

"Na! It's probably ju- w-w-wait what!!" Mahoton then frantically patted himself down looking for the tracker. He found it on his sleeve and he threw it to the ground. E promptly stomped on it.

"Jesus, the only other time I had a tracker on, was the time I was a baby." Mahoton sighed with relief, but then his face twisted into a scowl.

"Wait a minute! Rin?" He pointed at Rin.
