*Dec's POV*
The next few weeks for the boys go by in normality. They'd returned home the following day and by Monday, they were both back to their daily routines. Soon enough Dec found his way to the public library when he had spare time. Instead of Ant getting books for Dec, he would get them for himself. One day, Dec found himself in a section of the library filled with books that all said, "for dummies". A book called "Dating for Dummies" piqued his interest. He picked it up, rifling through the pages and thought to himself, 'Seeing as I'm with Anth now, I guess I should figure out how all this works,' as he made his way to the checkout.
Dec got home and realized he had a few hours before Ant would be back, so decided to make himself a cup of tea and begin reading his new book. He quickly made himself a cup of green tea and settled on the sofa to begin reading. As he opened the book, he was graced with a romantic photo of a man and a woman in formal clothing and big bold letters beside them.
The First Date
*Ant's POV*
Ant got home after a very mediocre day at work. It was one of those days where nothing bad happened, but nothing good happened and his entire being only craved for the hold of his loving partner. He walked into the lounge to see Dec sprawled out on the sofa with a book in his hand. Not paying attention to what book it was, Ant climbed on top of Dec and lied down on top of him, squishing him. Ant softly nuzzled into the blankets on Dec's chest and mumbled, "missed you." Dec chucked softly as he put down the book on the end table behind him before wrapping his arms around Ant tightly and placing a kiss in his hair.
"How was work baby?" Dec asked in a little more than a whisper.
"It was fine. Not good. Not bad. But the entire time, all I wanted was to be here. Exactly like this; in your arms." Ant responded before tilting his head up to kiss Dec's chin.
Their grips tightened on each other as they enjoyed the closeness and the warmth radiating off them. After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Dec spoke, "Hey Anth, are we dating?"
Ant looked up at Dec, trying to decipher the thoughts behind the pale emerald eyes. "Uh... ya... I guess we are. Why do you ask?"
"How come we've never gone on a 'Date'?" Dec replied with genuine curiosity in his eyes.
Ant was gobsmacked. How could he forget to take Dec on an actual date?! He had taken Dec for granted and felt horrible about it now that he'd realized it. "Oh... my... god... I'm so sorry Dec. I completely forgot. Um... wo- would... would you like to go on a date with me this weekend?" Ant said with a stutter.
With a large grin plastered on his face, Dec responds "I'll think about it. Might need some convincing like," Dec said with a cheeky wink.
Ant knew that this was really a 'yes' from Dec, but he was looking for some pampering. He leaned up to kiss Dec, deepening it quickly and pulling away after teasingly biting Dec's lower lip. "That can be arranged," Ant said as he stood back up.
He made his way to kitchen to start dinner, waiting for Dec to realize he wasn't coming back for the 'convincing' just yet. After a few minutes, Dec joined Ant in the kitchen and began helping, making sure Ant would notice the 'pout' Dec was sporting. Ant recognized this as Dec's fake pout for when he was trying to guilt Ant into something, and he internally smirked, knowing the teasing from the sofa had worked.
