KATSUKI'S POV
I sat waiting, a ball of nerves, trying to figure out what I might say to him. I tried to imagine what I would see as he walked through the door. Would I run to him and hug him? Should I wait for him to speak? What should I do? All the others were sent away for a week or two. To be honest, they probably won't be allowed back until Izuku is ready to see everyone. It would just be me and him for a while. This made my heart start beating faster, excitement and dread filling me to the brim. I was going to confess my feelings to him when I thought it was the right time. I knew I couldn't just throw my feelings out there to him just yet. That would be careless and selfish. Izuku had been through so much, and I wasn't going to add anything to his plate. How should I treat him? The last time we spoke, we were in battle, fighting side by side the way it was supposed to be, and then he was gone. No longer beside me, he was no longer only an arm's grasp away. The memory of that day flooded my mind, and pain throbbed in my chest. I felt tears trying to swell their way from my eyes, but a knock at the door jerked me from my thoughts. This was it. I would see him again. He was right behind this door.
IZUKU'S POV
As I walked up the stairs with All Might leading the way, my thoughts consumed me. I was about to see Kacchan, the one I had loved for years and the one I wanted to stand beside forever. He was just up these stairs, and yet I was scared. I got captured. I was taken in the middle of a battle. I was unable to protect him or myself. How would I face him? What would I say? My thoughts were silenced as All Might knocked on what I assumed was my dorm room door. It was big, a large apartment-sized room, to be honest. It would make a comfortable living area, to say the least, since it's only me and a few of my classmates. Then I heard it, a husky voice calling out to come in. I knew that voice. It was Kacchan. All Might looked at me, still behind him, his face seeming to ask if I was ready. I nodded, still unable to speak, as All Might turned the knob and pushed open the door. He walked in first, then I followed slowly behind him, looking only at the ground, unable to bring myself to meet the eyes of the person standing a few feet before me.
KATSUKI'S POV
I brought myself back to reality again, mustering up enough courage to call out to the person behind the door. "Come in," I said loudly but calmly. A few seconds later, the door opened, and All Might walked in. Little did I know how unprepared I was for the sight that walked in next and stood before me. My teeth clenched together as I looked at the person in front of me. My eyes widened as I took in every inch of him. He was standing there with his eyes on the ground, not looking at me at all. I looked him up and down. His skin was pale, but that wasn't what shocked me to my core. The marks on his once perfect skin were in full view. He had scars up and down his arms, more on his legs, and some I could see on his neck that traveled down to the ends of the collar of his shirt. I could only imagine that they probably traveled all the way down his body. His face, or what I could see of it, was bruised and scratched. Pain surged through my body as I took in the sight of him. I noticed he was taller too, still shorter than me but taller than before. I guess we both had grown since last year. My heart stopped when the green-haired boy looked up at me. My eyes were wider than I thought they could get as I saw those once sparkly green-filled eyes now dull and lifeless. I unconsciously grabbed my shirt where my heart was as the pain hit like a boulder. I couldn't say anything; all I could do was stare.
IZUKU'S POV
I stood there, staring at the floor for what felt like a lifetime until I finally looked up, no longer able to take the uncomfortable silence in the room. When I looked up, my eyes met crimson red, and my breath hitched in my throat. Those beautiful eyes were staring into my soul. I noticed him grab his shirt over his heart with a vicious grip, his knuckles turning white from the amount of force the action caused. Kacchan stood there, eyes wide, with his hand over his heart, not breaking our eye contact. I couldn't say anything; all I could do was look away.
All Might's POV
I noticed the awkward interaction between the two and decided to break the silence. "Young Bakugou," I said, and this seemed to snap him out of whatever trance he was in. He took one last look at the boy, who was now staring at the floor again, and looked at me with an unreadable expression. I simply nodded, somewhat telling him that yes, this was Midoriya, and he calmed himself in an instant. We both held a knowing stare between the two of us before I turned to my other student. I looked at him as I called his name, and he met my eyes. "Young Midoriya, I will leave you two here to get comfortable and talk amongst yourselves," I said. He nodded and walked further into the room towards the kitchen. I gave young Bakugou one last knowing look and made my way out the door.
Long winded I know but detail is what I like best hope you enjoyed
