"Mandy! Phone call for you!" Accompanied by someone pounding on her door.

Pulling off her headphones, she ran to the floor phone. "Hello?"

"Hey, babe," a deep voice responded.

"Tucker?" Mandy said slightly out of breath.

"Yeah, girl, who else would it be?"

She rolled her eyes beneath her glasses. "What, uh... what's up?"

"I just wanted to hear your voice. And wanted to know if you wanted any company this weekend."

She sighed. "Sure, I guess, but you know that we're broken up."

"I know. I know, but I miss you."

"Well, I miss you, too," she told him.

"No, like... I really, really miss you."

She bit her bottom lip and glanced up and down the hall. "How much?"

"So much," he whispered. Her body roused to his admission. "I'll be there on Saturday. We can catch up."

Mandy kept a smile on her face thinking about Tucker. But she made mental notes to remind him that they were just having fun and nothing else. In the cafeteria, she ate with Scotty, revealing her weekend plans. "Is this just a 'secret lovers' or is this 'reunited and it feels so good'?" Both women looked at each other for a second before cracking the hell up.

"You're a mess."

"You haven't answered the question."

"And I won't," she said pulling apart a roll.

As they ate, Gabby came over to the table. "Hey, Mandy. Hey, Scotty."

"What's up, girl," Scotty said. She checked her watch dramatically. "And I have to go. I have class or a... a meeting or something in fifteen." She waved, raising a brow at Mandy. "Bye."

"Bye, Aisha." Mandy turned to Gabby. "Hey, stranger."

Mandy pretended not to see Scotty staring at them. "I've just been busy. You know how it is."

"I do." They were quiet for a while. "What's wrong, Gabrielle? You're not talking my ears off today. What's up?"

Gabby smiled. "Nothing. Nothing. Just some stuff. I'll deal. Are you good?"

"Can't complain." Everything at school had been going wonderfully. After a tough bout of homesickness, she'd been fine. And now almost three months of being on campus, it was starting to feel like home. And having Scotty and Gabby in her corner didn't hurt at all. "Um, my ex-boyfriend is coming to visit me this weekend."

"Oh?"

Mandy thought she saw disappointment on Gabby's face, but it could have been all in her mind. "Yeah, it was random, but I'm actually looking forward to it."

"That's cool." The sophomore leaned in. "Make sure you're lowkey or you'll get reported."

Mandy tapped the table. "Thanks for the advice.

"Just trying to help a friend."

As the weekend approached, Mandy began getting nervous. Before his call, she hadn't seen or spoken to Tucker in months. She met him at the main door of her dorm. "Tucker Jones!" She said with a slick smile.

He was almost twice her height, dark chocolate and gorgeous. With a voice that rattled her bones. "Miranda Bailey, give me a hug, girl."

Miranda squealed and hugged him tightly. After dropping his bag in her room, Mandy showed Tucker off around campus. They met Scotty who was cordial, but side-eyed him the entire time. She knew of their past and how everything had gone down. Gabby met them as they toured the library, Mandy's favorite place. "I gotta run, but enjoy the campus, Turner."

"It's Tucker," Tucker and Mandy said together.

"My bad!" The sophomore laughed. "Bye."

Holding his hand, they moved toward her room silently. With the door closed, he grabbed her waist. "I have been waiting for this all week."

She nodded, kissing him softly at first, deepening it. They fell back into the rhythm they'd found in their last few months together. Her shirt was the first thing to go followed by his jacket that he tossed onto a chair. Tucker bit his bottom lip staring at her. He tore off his tee and her mouth dropped. No one on her campus looked like him and it turned her on so much. His pants dropped to the floor. "God," she cried as he grabbed her butt, lifting her almost effortlessly moving them toward her bed. He sat down with her on his lap and Mandy rocked her body on his nearing an orgasm. She'd only had one or two since coming to college and now she was about to get one provided by someone other than her fingers. She climbed off of him and quickly grabbed the box of condoms her mother had given her. Once ready, he slid into her and she almost screamed at the top of her lungs.

"Damn!" Tucker grunted. "This feels nice."

"Yesss," she swooned. When they were finished, they lay next to each other.

Tucker gripped her hips. "Want to go down on me?"

"You're in my bed," she chuckled, hitting his chest. "You go first." Her mind flashed to her conversation with Gabby in this same bed in the same positions. As Tucker kissed down her body, Mandy couldn't get her friend off her mind. Imagining that it was her touching between her legs, kissing her in places that made her cry out in pleasure. Which is what she did. Tucker looked up at her. "What?"

"What what?"

He crawled up, hovering over her. "What'd you say?"

"Huh?"

"You said 'gag me' or, um, 'Gabby'?"

Mandy's eyes grew big. "I said no such thing!" She laughed nervously. "I don't even remember saying anything."

Tucker kissed her cheek. "Okay. Fine. Relax, lay back."

She shook her head. The idea that she was calling Gabby's names through her moans made her shudder. "It's your turn."

The day Tucker was set to return home, they talked while waiting for his bus. "This was fun," he said.

"It really was."

"Do you maybe... uh, want to try again? See where it goes." He picked up her hand, playing with it. "We could settle down after you graduate. Start a family, have a kid or two."

Mandy took a long second to think. There were so many times when she thought about doing that with him; exactly what her parents had done: gotten married, had her, lived a good and decent American life. And, at some point, she wanted that, but not now and, unfortunately, not with Tucker. "I wish I wanted to," she started pulling away her hand. "But, honestly, I don't want to. We're better as friends."

"Friends don't do what we just did."

She blushed. "True, but that was a one-off. We can't do it again."

Tucker sighed kissing her lips. "Okay. I'm glad you're doing well. And I'll tell your parents you look good." They kissed again, the last time they would do so.

"Thanks, Tucker." Mandy sat on the bench watching his bus pull away.
