Chapter Seventeen

There were only about six weeks until the semester was over and Mandy was doing something she often didn't do. She was blowing off her schoolwork and was going with her best girls on a trip to the lake. "You know, technically, if you're already caught up and have already started on future assignments, you're not blowing anything off, my little nerd," Gabby said.

It was almost five in the morning and they scrambled from the bed. The sophomore was there so often, it was like they were roommates. Scotty had mused that maybe they would get tired of one another. Mandy disagreed; she didn't see it happening anytime soon. And it wasn't just about the sex that though that part was really, really good. Mandy was learning more about herself and her body than ever before and Gabby was a big part of that. Plus, the two lovers just liked being around each other—even mad at each other, they wanted to be close.

Mandy returned to the conversation in front of her. "Well, that's what I'm calling it, so there." She stuck her tongue out at Gabby who returned the juvenile response. The stack of books on her desk had been on their way to the library to begin studying for finals, but after some pressure from Scotty and some other pressure from Gabby, she changed her mind.

Gabby slipped into her shoes so that she could go to her room to get her stuff. "I'll be ready in half an hour."

"Me, too."

"Half an hour, Miranda."

"Okay, Gabrielle."

They smiled and Mandy's chest rumbled. "I'm so excited to finally see you in a bathing suit."

Mandy grinned. She couldn't wait to see Gabby either. It was all she could think about, but she didn't say that. "Half an hour."

Kevin and Scotty pulled into the parking lot and the four of them hit the road. The lake was about an hour or so away. Gabby put her head on Mandy's lap as they headed down the highway. "I cannot believe I almost missed this," she said leaning down to kiss Gabby.

"I'm glad you conceded," Gabby told her sitting up. "We're going to have so much fun."

They stopped to get gas and Kevin got out leaving the three friends gabbing in the car. "Oh! I have to pee!" Scotty exclaimed.

"Again?" Mandy asked getting out of the car.

"Listen, when you're pregnant, I'm going to remember that."

She blushed. "Just come on."

Back in the car, Mandy braided her hair into two shoulder-length braids. They listened to music and when Kevin pulled up to the lake, Mandy got so excited, she could barely hold it all in. "I haven't been to the beach in forever," she told Gabby as they exited the car. The salt from the lake hit her nose immediately and she grinned. They got their bags and headed toward the bathrooms.

Mandy eased into the teal two-piece with thin straps and part of her stomach showing. Scotty had practically bullied her into getting it. It's going to look great on you. And she was damn right. Every curve was highlighted and her boobs were sitting nice and high. "I don't know where to look," Gabby said lowly as she came out of her stall. The sophomore had on a black bikini and even though she'd seen her naked several times, Mandy's heart dropped between her legs.

"You look so good," she blushed. The two of them shared a quick kiss. The door to the bathroom opened and Mandy wiped her mouth, reaching for her girlfriend's hand. She didn't mind kissing in front of other people, but having a full-blown make-out session wasn't something she wanted to do in public.

"Excuse me," the woman said squeezing past them, staring at Mandy who kept the eye contact for a few seconds before turning her attention to her girlfriend.
