Wow! What a finale. I don't think that we could have asked for too much more. So many storylines wrapped in a positive and satisfying way, and if I'm being honest, that was one of the best finales I have ever seen! Unfortunately, I am now a mess emotionally. However, that is not what I am here to discuss. For all those that have not seen the finale, this is your chance to stop reading and watch before I drop this bombshell. Webby being Scrooge's daughter was a big surprise, and while I am very sad about that fact that it destroys the canonical possibility of a Dewey and Webby relationship, while also making the thought weird, I can't say that it 100% surprised me. All the way back in the first episode they teased it, with Webby striking the same pose as Scrooge. Her overall love for his and his family's history also pointed to the possibility, as well as A Nightmare on Killmotor Hill. However, I will not be considering this in my future works. Instead, Webby will still identify as the granddaughter of Beakley, as she did for so long. However, in the future, if I do begin to slow down with the stories, it is likely because of the fact that Dewey and Webby are now cousins (1st once removed, to be exact). The very first episode I ever saw of Ducktales was The Spear of Selene, and it was by pure chance. That began my initial love for the show and Debbigail, and if it hadn't been for Dewey and Webby, I would never have begun watching the show. So while my overall time and appreciation for Debbigail may slow due to the sudden curve thrown by the Ducktales team, just know that I will always remember this community and cherish all of you for allowing me to have a story with over 1.4k reads. I'm just the writer. You guys are what keep me going (and also the show; I miss Ducktales so much already T-T) Thank you all so much and I'll catch you later!
