A Helping Hand

Hi all! Welcome back! Shoutout to @ElgatoPlaze for the inspiration, I hope I don't let you down. I want to give a big thank you for 2.4k reads! It really means a lot to me. Anyways, I don't want to delay too long, so here we go.

It was a chilly afternoon in Duckburg. The clouds blocked out the shining sun, allowing minimal amounts of light through. However, while many were cooped up inside their homes on this depressing day, two distinct figures were busy walking towards Mcduck Manor, excited for the night.

"Alright Vi, ready to have the time of your life?" Lena said as the two arrived at the front gate.

"Indeed, Lena. I am very prepared to have 'fun times'", Violet said sincerely.

"Alright, then let's go", Lena said, however, before she could buzz the gate...

"Just remember", Violet said. "Do not do anything magically irrational. I'm fairly sure Hubert still has small wings from the time you tried to turn him into a butterfly".

"Yeah, yeah, don't unleash any demons, kill anyone or turn your crush into a butterfly", Lena said teasingly, the last part earning a blush and a glare from Violet. "Now let's go!" she said as she pressed the buzzer.

After a few seconds, the voice of Mrs. Beakley rang out from the speaker.

     "Yes?" she asked.

"It's Violet and I", Lena said. "We're here for the sleepover".

"Oh, yes, come on in. Webby has been waiting for you two".

And just like that, the gate to Mcduck Manor began to open.

                         ****************************

While Violet and Lena began their long trek up to the house, a certain blue duck was laying on his bed, lost in his feelings for his best friend.

How am I supposed to tell her? Should I tell her?, Dewey thought to himself.  No. I can't wimp out again. I have to tell her. I have to be honest. This has gone on too long.

Just as Dewey was about to get up, he heard a knock at the door.

"Can I come in?" a sweet feminine voice asked.

"Sure Webs", Dewey said, a blush beginning to rise on his cheeks. "Lena and Violet not here yet?"

"No, not yet. But once they do get here, we are going to have the most EPIC night of our lives!"

"Yeah, because board games and junk food are what I associate with 'epic'", Dewey said jokingly, sitting up as Webby jumped up to the edge of his bed (the triplets are still sharing a bunk bed).

"Hey! There's nothing wrong with a chill sleepover. Not everything has to end in supernatural peril", Webby replied.

"Alright, whatever you say", Dewey said. "But just know that I will literally win every single game we play tonight. It's Dew-stined to happen".

Why is his wordplay so cute and annoying at the same time, Webby thought to herself, giving her friend a large eye roll.

"Anyways", Webby said after a few seconds of silence, "I came here to talk to you about something... important", her last word causing her nerves to shoot through the roof and her smiling face to morph into that of worry and anxiety.

Dewey scooted over to his best friend and put his arm around her, causing them both to blush lightly. "What is it?" he asked.

"Listen, I, um... kind of... uhh", Webby struggled, having trouble spitting out her thoughts. "I don't really know how to put this-"
