He hated his voice. Sure he produced music but he still hated his voice. He didn't like being linked his songs by his chat. At first he ignored it. If he didn't acknowledge it then it didn't exist. He was trying to focus on the game. The game infront of him. He deafened and he saw the red word flash on his screen. Imposter. His partner was Dk. A dumb and dumber game. He took a deeo breath and he started running down to storage.

Dk was following him. They split up in storage, Steve went left to shields and up towards Nav. He killed Ellum and the body got instantly reported. Hafu had seen Steve kill. The meeting was pulled up and Steve was holding back his groan.

"Steve?" Hafu asked.

"Yes?" Steve replied casually.

"I just saw you kill in the hallway outside nav."

"Oh, well it has to be a morphling, I was in electrical." He was keeping a calm tone.

"I saw him there!" Dk cut in.

Steve watched as he got more media plug ins from his fans. He was starting to get annoyed at it. He hated his voice and they kept linking it. He decided to just ignore it for now. They continued on with the meeting and into the next round. The game seemed slow, maybe that was because he was focusing on the subs. He wanted to dissappear.

If he did then nobody could make him listen to his music. He didn't want to hear it. The next meeting came to Steve's relief. He was listening to the others discuss the found body and he gets another media plug-in. He hit his mute button, but missed it so he hit it again. He then let it out. He didn't mean to be rude.

"Could you stop sending me my songs!? I hate the sound of my voice. If you could not make me listen to it that would be great." He exploded.

The others went silent for a moment. Steve noticed it...his heart dropped a bit. Shit. Was all that was in his head. He spoke again rather quickly. "I'm sorry guys I thought I was muted."

"Awww Steve! I love your music it is so good!" Hafu called out.

"Bro you're music is so good. You are so talented!" DK praised.

"Steve you are so talented! I can't express how good your music is!" Talia added.

"I love your stuff Steve." 5up agreed.

The words were too much. They had to be lying to him. Right? He wasn't sure if they were being truthful or if they were just saying that. He hated his voice. He sounded like a dying goose. No way did he sound good. They were saying that. He shook his head, he knew it was pity.

"Thanks but I know you guys are just saying that. I know my voice is bad." Steve cut them off. He didn't want any fake compliments. He didn't need the pity. He was fine with the truth. He didn't understand why everyone was lying to him about how good he sounded. It was not funny.

"What do you mean?" Janet asked, her voice was laced with confusion. Fake confusion.

"Stop lying to me is what I mean. I suck and my voice is bad. Just admit it." He retorted.

"Steve, none of us are lying. We all love your music. You are so talented." Apollo tried to reason. He could almost hear Steve shaking his head.

"You know us well enough to know we are always out front with you. We don't sugar coat things, we tell you how it is." Apollo continued.

Steve sat there not believing it. How could he? He knew it was false. Your own mind doesn't lie to you. Does it? He knew his friends were not liars. Lying in the game was one thing, but every other time nobody lied. He made no move to speak.

"Steve, we wouldn't all be listening to your music if we didn't like it." Hafu informed. She always managed to be the mom to everyone.

Steve found himself nodding. He hated her sometimes. She was one of the people he always believed. He hated how he could never not believe her. He let out a small sigh. "Okay. I believe you." He said softly.

Cheers filled his ears as every shouted "I love you's" at him. He rolled his eyes and he laughed a little. He loved his friends. He got lucky with them. He appreciated everything they did for him no matter how big or small. How did he get so lucky? He would never know.

A/N: This is shorter but it is cute. I am working on all my stuff at the same time so my upload is a bit sketchy but the pattern will be the same. Steve, The Crew, 5up. You can always expect something. So my next upload will be in my Crew Book. The crew book actually always has two drafts in it. I work on more than one chapter a time. Anyway thank you for the support. I am working on an original story as well, it is not up yet but hopefully it will be soon.
