Chapter 1

CHAPTER 1

“I swear to my mom, Haru, if you won't tell me where you hid my phone, I'm going to choke you to death.” Jitzu threatened, her voice loud enough for the strangers inside the lounge to hear. It wasn't her fault though. Her best friend, Haru decided to be a pain in the ass today and hide her phone somewhere while they were waiting for the others to arrive.

“I didn't hide it, dumbo!” Haru yelled that surely attracted everyone's attention. It was true. She didn't hide it. She misplaced it and now she couldn't remember where she put it.

“You–”

“Jesus. I knew leaving you two here alone would cause such huge chaos.” Momo appeared, but she wasn't alone. There was someone behind her that was about Haru and Jitzu's age.

Suddenly, Jitzu stiffened when she realized who it was. She immediately grew quiet and hid behind Haru's back, leaving the latter to face the woman and the girl alone.

“Girls, this is my daughter, Yumeko. Yumeko, these are Dumb and Dumber, Haru and Jitzu. Though I'm sure you already know about Haru.”

“Yeah. I remember you,” Yumeko pointed at Haru, “We were friends before I went to Japan, right?”

“Yeah.” Haru nodded and smiled at the girl before smirking mischievously. She suddenly moved aside and pushed Jitzu in the front so the two could face other. “How about Jitzu? Remember her? You used to call her Jiglue because she's always attached to me.”

“Oh! I almost didn't notice! Why were you hiding behind her back?”

“M– me? I– I wasn't. Why would I?” Jitzu responded coolly, leaning on Haru's side.

Haru just smirked at her best friend's flustered state. “Yeah. Why would you?”

“Anyway, girls. We just went here to fetch you guys.” Momo butted in, “The others are already chilling in my office. I suggest we get going.”

“Okay, boss.” Haru saluted, making Momo's mouth twitched upwards. She reminded her a lot of Dahyun's personality and maybe a little bit of Sana's. She even heard that Sana was  once called in the principal's office because her daughter was caught ‘allegedly’ flirting with their art sub teacher. It was a really funny story and she knew that Sana had probably done the same thing when she was young.

“Alrighty. Follow me.”

The three obliged as they went to Momo's tail. As her eyes explored the enormous place, Haru couldn't help but feel nostalgic when she saw a bunch of TWICE's and Blackpink's  old billboard, even trophies and achievements placed inside a huge glass like it was some kind of attraction, and indeed, it was. Years after they disbanded, TWICE and Blackpink had decided to build their own company that would have a fair treatment with each of their idols, in which they had no trouble in doing so. But apparently, they all had different dreams and things they wanted to do in their life. Sana and Dahyun got married after years of dating secretly, the same with Mina and Chaeyoung. Jihyo and Tzuyu decided to give their relationship a try, which turned out to be a huge success for the both of them. Nayeon had pursued a career as a soloist for a little while, but soon then retired when Jeongyeon had finally proposed to her. As for the Pinks', Jisoo and Jennie also got married as soon as they came out to the public. Rosé and Lisa started and built their own school of arts first before finally settling down.

And because of those sudden turn of events, Momo was left to manage the company. She knew to herself that marriage wasn't really a big deal and maybe ‘love’ just wasn't for her. So she decided to adopt a little girl that she never thought she would love as dearly right now.
