CHAPTER 03
After she finally got to talk with her parents, Haru felt like a huge weight was lifted off her shoulders. She loved how both of her mothers knew exactly what to do and say when she was feeling like this. They reassured her that there was nothing to worry about. Sure, she wasn't perfect and she would mess something up eventually as the time comes, but there was nothing she could do about it. She just had to deal with it and think of a possible solution and Sana and Dahyun promised that they would be there when that time comes.
“How did it go?” Jitzu asked right away as soon as the younger girl entered the practice room. “I heard she's really strict.”
She was referring to their vocal mentor, Cho Haseul. A very skilled vocalist. It had been weeks since that meeting they had with Momo and right now was the first day of their training. The said mentor had decided to call them one by one in the studio, which left the other girls anxious in their practice room.
Haru shook her head and sat next to Jitzu on the floor while Lana and Yumeko were running around the room as Minseo was playing silently on her phone. Okay, so maybe they weren't that anxious.
“She's not that bad. She's actually really sweet once you get comfortable around her.” the maknae answered nonchalantly, remembering how Haseul was actually good with words of motivation.
“That's not what Lana unnie said.” Jitzu murmured.
“Maybe it's because she annoyed her to death.” Haru replied, giving a quick glance to Minseo, her lips automatically twitching into a small smile. She then tapped Jitzu's knee to get her attention, “Hey, let's play a game.”
“What game?”
Haru shrugged, “I don't know. You decide. I'm bored.”
Jitzu grinned and raised her index finger. “Ah! I have an idea!”
The younger hummed and let her continue.
“Let's place rock paper scissors! Whoever loses had to wink at someone that the winner randomly chose. If they got flustered, the loser get to smack the winner's head with this,” she took the plastic bottle and placed it in front of Haru's face.
Haru just rolled her eyes, “That's such a stupid game.” she said but prepared her fist anyway, making the older girl smirk.
“Rock, paper, scissors, shoot!”
Jitzu had the scissors, but Haru went for the rock, which only meant that the latter had won. “Wow, I'm good at this.”
“It's the first round. Shut the fuck up.”
Haru playfully placed her index finger under her chin, humming softly before smirking at her best friend. “I want you to wink at Yumeko unnie.”
Judging by the looks on the older girl's face, Haru knew that something was up with her best friend which made her smile, and it only widened when Jitzu suddenly had a shy expression on her features, which was a rare occasion for her.
“Why her?”
“Why not?”
“Why?”
“Why not?”
“Why though–”
“Ugh, just do it!” Haru's smug smile was no longer there as she was getting a little frustrated from the girl's repetitive questions.
“Fine, geez!” Jitzu turned to look at Yumeko, who was still chasing a laughing and loud Lana. “Yumeko unnie!”
She was actually doing it.
