PROLOGUE

“I don't think that's such a good idea, Momoring.”

“Ditto.” Dahyun agreed with her best friend as she put the cup of coffee on their table.

The nine of them were currently gathered at Momo's office, reuniting and just talking about the most random stuff they could think of when Momo suddenly blurted out the strangest idea out of nowhere that took the other girls off guard.

“I know. I'm sorry. I was just joking, anyway.” Momo spoke, but the girls could see how she deflated from her seat. “It's just that– Yumeko really wanted to be in a girl group and I don't really trust the other trainees in here to be with her.”

“Momo, they're your trainees. What do you mean you don't trust them?” Jihyo asked. Actually, she was all in with the dancer's idea, but she was just curious why was it so sudden.

“What if they make fun of her just because she was adopted or something like that?”

“This is not the kindergarten, Momo unnie.” Chaeyoung voiced, leaning her head against her wife who was busy playing with her phone.

Though Mina seemed too engrossed with her game, she was also listening with their conversation as it sounded like an important matter. She didn't really mind if her daughter became an idol, but she knew her kid. It's going to take a lot for her to adjust with the environment.

“But, if you guys think about it, it's really not that bad.” Sana retorted, earning everyone's attention, “I mean– I could see a potential in my daughter. I wouldn't mind if she became an idol.”

“Well, I do.” Dahyun argued, but she didn't sound mad at all. “Haru is still so young and she doesn't know how cruel the world out there is.”

Sana faced the younger girl, “Babe, she's 18.”

“And she has homework. At least let her finish school first.” Dahyun said with a hint of finality in her voice. As if she was saying ‘I'm done arguing.’ and Sana knew better than oppose with her wife's decision so she didn't utter a word anymore. But of course she wasn't mad about it. She actually got her wife's point. They'll just talk about it later at their home.

“Jieun's already a trainee here. I think it's Momo's decision if she wanted her to debut.” Nayeon spoke. Of course she named her child after her idol.

“Lana's still a trainee at RV Entertainment. I'm sure she's all in with this girl group thingy.” Lisa and her wife, Rosé finally joined the conversation. Honestly, she didn't know why her eldest daughter decided to train at RV Entertainment instead of Twicepink's, but it wasn't a big deal. She knew that Bae Irene, former member of Red Velvet and the CEO would take good care of their baby.

Momo's expression brightened, “So we got Lana and Jieun.” she said enthusiastically, “What about Minseo?”

At the mention of their daughter, Mina and Chaeyoung glanced at each other. They knew their daughter's personality and they weren't sure if she could handle being an idol. “We're not so sure about that. You know Minseo. She'll only talk when there's art and ballet involved.”

“So Haru and Minseo are out?” Momo catechized. She was glad that her friends were finally considering her idea. “What about Jitzu?”

“You know that my kid would only agree if Haru does too.” Jihyo said and looked at Sana and Dahyun's direction. Haru and Jitzu had been best friends ever since they were in diapers so there was no doubt that her daughter wouldn't go anywhere unless she had Haru with her.

Dahyun knew that Jihyo wanted her daughter to be an idol just like her and she wasn't gonna lie, she felt really sad when she saw the older girl looked like a kicked puppy after knowing that her daughter's dream of being an idol would become impossible just because her best friend didn't want to be one. So the raven haired girl held Sana's hand lightly before speaking up.

“I'll talk to Haru about it.”

Sana perked up and was just about to jump on her wife with a hug when the latter spoke again. “But if she says she doesn't want to, I'm not forcing her. It's her choice.”

Momo didn't stop herself anymore and run to hug Dahyun. It wasn't really new to them at all since Momo was also known for being really close with Dahyun even before. “I promise you won't regret it!”

“Yeah, yeah, okay.” Dahyun patted the girl's back gently before pulling away and clung to her wife who kissed her forehead as soon as their skin touched.

“Yumeko, Lana, Jieun are in, and Haru and Jitzu are still in progress.” Momo voiced before glancing at Mina and Chaeyoung, “Are you guys sure about Minseo?”

“Not really. She's unpredictable. Maybe we'll ask her about it.” Chaeyoung answered.

Then Rosé raised a hand to get the woman's attention, which she succeeded in. “If you want, I'll give Jennie and Jisoo unnie a call. I heard that Elle is actually planning on becoming a trainee in here.

“Yes! I'd like that!” Momo clapped her hand excitedly, the child in her coming out. She was really excited about this project. Not only because it will boost her company, but it would also help her daughter achieve her dreams.

“It's settled then! TwicePink Next Gen is coming!”
