There was peace in kayi tribe but not in bey tent.
Ertugrul was sitting on his Beylic chair with Bamsi and Turgut on each sides. Halime standing on the left side and Gunduz in front of his father with head dipped down.
"So my elder son don't know the difference between halal and haram? Is this was the way we teached you? You have been watching me from so many years. Have you ever seen me doing anything not acceptable in our religion?" Ertugrul poured out his anger and his tone wasn't anything near soft.
"Never baba but..."
"Don't interrupt your father Gunduz just listen to him!" Halime warned. Gunduz turned his face towards her.
"But anne-"
Halime gave a stare at Gunduz to just shut up which he actually did considering his father's anger at that time.
"No Halime, let him talk, let him cut his elder while they are talking."
"Baba! Anne! You are misunderstanding me. You are not giving me a chance to defend myself." Gunduz plead and for a second Halime's heart of a mother softened but it didn't stayed much.
"What will you say? What is left to say? Everything is in front of us. You will just say that baba I didn't knew anything and baba I was not aware. Don't try to make me fool Gunduz! I'm your father!" Ertugrul stood up. Turgut and Bamsi too stood straight at theur Bey's motion of hand.
"But ba...." Gunduz stepped towards Ertugrul, only for Ertugrul to stop him.
"Stay away Gunduz and don't come in front of me for few days. Go away from my eyes. Turgut! Bamsi! You can go. Look at everything going around."
Turgut and Bamsi nodded as they placed their hands on chest to excuse themselves. Gunduz stood there stuck, clenching his fists beside him. Gunduz looked up from the carpeted floor to his mother who also stood helplessly away from him. Ertugrul noticed Gunduz's gaze on Halime too, maybe expecting some kind of protection from her while she didn't seemed to respond knowing that Ertugrul's gaze are on her.
"Why are you still standing? Go away!" Ertugrul motioned his hand towards the exit as Gunduz fought the tears in his eyes.
"What is this baba!! You say that we learn from mistakes but you embarrassed me in front of everyone. Haven't you made mistakes in life?"
Halime's eyes widened as Gunduz's words hit her, he was not supposed to say that. Ertugrul started walking towards Gunduz, his eyes beaming with anger.
"So now you will question your father Gunduz? When you grew this old to question the bey?" Ertugrul's steps grew towards Gunduz, his arms folded at his back. Halime stepped forward and stood inbetween them in order to stop the thunderstorm.
"Go to your tent Gunduz!" Halime ordered, stopping Ertugrul's steps towards Gunduz.
Gunduz looked up at his Anne whose eyes were still wide. Gunduz lowered his eyes towards the floor again and left the tent. Halime saw him leaving and now she had to face the thunderstorm.
"Obviously you saved him, why wouldn't you, you are his mother." Ertugrul took a deep breath and walked towards his seat. Halime gave him a bowl of water.
"I'm burning Hatun! This water will not work for the fire inside me. My children are questioning me today. That's what we taught them. We didn't got hard on them in their childhood so they will question us like this now!" Ertugrul took the bowl and placed it on the table on his side. He denied to drink it.
"He will learn. As time passes everyone learn from the mistakes that they made in the past, he too will learn. Drink this water! It will help." She motioned her hand towards the water bit Ertugrul grabbed it for himself before her.
