I woke up and headed to the kitchen. My parents were already there, cooking a delicious breakfast. I smiled at them and they smiled back.
"Good morning hunny, happy birthday" said mother. I grinned and sat down at the small rock-made kitchen table, and started munching on my food.
After breakfast, we went outside. While we were walking in the sandy streets of our village, a bomb fell on a nearby house, sending smoke everywhere. People started running around and screaming, terrified.
"Hunny, stay close to me! We need to find cover" said father, as he took my hand. As we ran to find cover, another bomb fell nearby. I screamed and turned around to see that my parents were gone.
"Mom?! Dad?! Where are you?" I screamed, tears falling down my face. I couldn't see them anywhere. Where were they? Then it hit me. They were too close to the bomb and they didn't make it. Taking in the news, I hid behind a big rock, hoping not to be found. But, of course, that was not the case. A big black droid stood before me, its arm raised, ready to shoot. I shielded my face with my arms, not wanting to look death in the eyes.
Bang, bang. Two shots fired. Bang, bang, bang. More followed. I slowly lowered my arms and raised my head.
A man in blue and silver Mandalorian armour stood before me. I looked at him for a moment, and then he extended a hand towards me, motioning for me to take it. I did, and I was picked up by the man as he flew in the sky with his jetpack. As I soared in the sky, I watched the scene of terror unfold in my village. Villagers were running around, screams echoed in the air, and droids were shooting at the fleeing people. I. tightened my grip on the man's shoulder, burying my head in the crook of his neck.
We finally reached a strange-looking ship and got inside. He set me down and headed to the cockpit. I followed him, and found him seated in the pilot's seat, punching some buttons on the control panel. He turned to look at me.
"What's your name, kid?"
"Hazel Morningstar, sir" he chuckled. "Such a polite young girl. My name is Jango Fett, but you can just call me Jango" I smiled timidly at him and sat on the passenger's seat. Jango punched in the coordinates for I don't know what planet, and we made the jump into hyperspace.
We landed on a platform and got off the ship he told me was the Slave I. I observed my surroundings, taking in the dark and cold atmosphere of the rainy sea-planet. A weird-looking, tall white creature greeted us.
"Ah, Mr. Fett, welcome back"
"It's good to be back, Tuan We" replied Jango.
The creature called Tuan We led us to our room and left. Jango opened the door.
"Hazel, meet my son, Boba Fett"
