"Well, you two have met." Ash says, pulling my hand away from Michaels mouth.
"Unfortunatley, we have." I reply, stepping back and crossing my arms in front of me.
"You're the one who made the sprinklers magically turn on! How the hell am I supposed to respond to that? What are you?" Michael questions me, narrowing his eyes in my direction.
"A witch." I answer, waving my fingers around and blinking so my eyes turn black.
"Wait, you saw her?" Celia speaks from behind us.
"Yes, I did."
"Whatever happened to nobody saw you?" Ronnie asks.
"You mean you used your powers when he was standing right there?" Beth adds.
"How could you be so stupid?"
"Weren't you thinking?"
"You're so dead."
"SHUT UP!" I yell, a sharp pain rushing to my palms, causing me to yelp.
"Guys, leave my poor sissy alone." Ash whines, running to my side, causing Michael to scoff and kick the dirt in front of him.
"So why do you guys even come to this shithole anyways?" He asks, looking around at the trees and the clearing for the bonfire.
"Don't call it that," I calmly say, taking a step towards him. "this is the place we all meet up at. This is where we all come. If we need to run away from the world for even just a few hours. You bet your ass you'd call yourself lucky if you decided to join us." Somehow, I was now standing completely in front of him, our faces dangerously close.
"Y'know, if you weren't such a bitch, I would kiss you right now." He chuckles, looking down at me.
"You wish." I breathe back, stepping away and walking towards the fire pit.
When I arrive next to the logs, I look up to find all the girls staring at me. Ronnie catches my eye.
"What?" I mouth to her, to which she just shakes her head.
"Since it's broad daylight, I take it we won't be lighting the fire?" Beth asks, kicking at the logs that were still semi-formed from the last time we were here.
"Yeah, good idea. But if we are still here when it gets dark, I'm lighting it." Ronnie raises her hand excitedly.
"But..but.. Powers." I pout, holding out my palm which held a small flame. I look over at Michael. Our eyes lock and his grow in size.
"No. You always light it. My turn!" She whines back, causing a grin to spread on my face.
"Alright, alright," I close my palm, extinguishing the fire.
"I love yoooouuuuu!"
"Okay. Ash, what did you bring?" Celia asks, trying to prop her elbow on his shoulder but failing at the significant height difference.
"Um.. about that. I didn't think we would be drinking since it's, like Beth said, broad daylight. So I kinda didn't bring anything."
"WHAT?! That's the whole point of coming here!" Ronnie bursts, dropping the logs she has in her hands.
Everyone stares and I slowly blink at her as the realization of what she had just said sinks in.
"Okay," I start, walking over and placing a hand on her shoulder. "I admit I drink a lot of alcohol, but I would watch how much you sound like a raging alcoholic."
She sticks her tongue out at me, to which I kiss her cheek, before she collects the logs and walks to the bonfire. After stacking them into a formation, she takes her seat next to Ashton, leaving only one seat: the one next to Michael.
