Secrets (Baku x Deku)

Chap 3

(Bakugo POV)

Shota and Hizashi picked us up in a minivan and took us back to our new home. We pulled alongside our normal dorms but headed to the other side where there is a teacher's entrance. It has an elevator to the top floor which has one big apartment on it. I carry the twins in their car seats as Shota grabs all the bags. Izu is last out still being tender around his c-section scar, Hizashi helps steady him as we quickly pile in the elevator.

Shota unlocks the apartment and I take the twins into the living room where our mums and Toshinori are waiting for us. The twins are brought out of their car seats by their grannies and I focus on Izu. I sit him down on the sofa and get him a pillow for his back as we all finally relax and are glad to be home. I look around the large open plan room. On the end of the sofa where Izu is sitting is the twin's large bassinet so they can sleep together. There are pink and blue balloons near the door and a banner has been pinned to the wall saying congratulations. I look over to the kitchen and see the sterilizer and the bottle prep machine apparently we would be grateful for it during the nighttime feeds. The old hag pulled out her phone and snapped a picture of me with my arm around Izu.

"Could you take one of the four of us?" I ask handing her my phone.

She hands Hana to me and Inko passes Haruto to Izu. with one arm around Izu and the other cradling our daughter I look at the camera smiling. Five minutes later and a billion photos later the twins start to cry for their milk. I pass Hana to Izu as I go make the bottles for the twins. I look back at my family proudly. I look at our extended family and realize just how lucky we really are to have such a loving and supporting family. I really don't know how we could have done all this if it wasn't for their help.

The next two weeks went by way too fast for my liking. I was allowed to stay off school to help Izu and the twins but then I was going back to my job. While Izu was pregnant Shota had got me a part-time job at one of the Hero agencies since I already had my license and I was caught up on all my school work. Izu got a job too on top of his school work (he insisted) but one he could do from home, he was doing a crazy amount of paperwork each day for the company. I was out doing patrols with the pros which I loved but I did worry about leaving Izu with the twins for too long when the grannies volunteered that they would help for my first two weeks back at work until we got into a good routine we jumped at the chance.

After a few weeks, we were into a great routine as far as we could be, the twins still didn't sleep through the night yet. All the students were now on summer break so the whole dorm was empty which was great. We started taking the twins for a walk in their twin pram we bought. The pros were concerned for the twin's safety from a villain attack if they found out. That is why we were to stay at the dorms and for the time being, keep them a secret which suited us fine, we were happy in our small bubble.

Before we knew it the summer was nearly over and the twins were two months old. Hana was so sweet she was always smiling, her hair had grown so much too, it was down to her chin in cute loose blonde curls. Haruto was the one with a temper which was funny as he looked like Izy, he was also a grubber that boy loved his milk. They had more clothes than me and Izu put together, an absurd amount of sleepsuits that looked like our family's costumes. But damn they were so cute. Our phones were filled with pictures of the four of us.

The day before we were to return to school Shota and Hizashi watched the twins while we pretended to arrive back at the dorms. We knew they would have a lot of questions for Izu. We decided I would go in first then he would join soon after. I kissed the twins and Izu. Thanking Shoto and Hizashi I left first.

It was strange walking into the common room and everyone being there. We had gotten used to the stillness here. As soon as I walked in I was dragged over to where everyone was and it was like an interrogation. What happened in the last two weeks? Why hadn't I text back bla bla bla. I just told them that it was personal and if they knew what was good for them they would leave it well enough alone. I even gave them my best death glare.
