If somebody would've told Noah people were as heavy as they are, maybe this wouldn't have happened. Or so he tries to convince himself.
He was still pacing around the room with the blood covered body. The floor stained red and the man's eyes open. Noah had no idea what to do. He tried to calm himself down for a moment, then another glance at the body just caused him to lose it again. His legs ached from the pacing and his mind hurt from trying to justify the situation. His eyes stopped producing tears a while ago, yet his vision was still blurry. He finally slowed down, both legs and mind, and collapsed on the floor farthest away from the body. He curled his legs up to his chest as he started to hyperventilate. Slowing his breath, he started murmuring to himself.
"Compose yourself, compose yourself, compose yourself!" He started, "He was nothing but a theft. A dirty theft! He practically asked for it. He broke into your house and stole your belongings. He stole our Ashlynn."
Our?
"Our?" He audibly thought, gripping his hair again. "I'm mad, absolutely mad, I have two personalities now, is that it?" He choked an ugly cry-laughed as he tugged some of his hair out. He balled it up as he tried to calm his breathing down and rationalize the situation. Well, as best as he could. "Noah, he was a nobody and a theft. Sure, he had his own loss, but that's no excuse to steal somebody else's lost love. Right?" He asked no one in particular, although he received an answer.
Right.
He shot up, spinning around the room. He couldn't tell if he heard a whisper or another person, or his other persona which seemed to exist. He was only sickly joking about the other persona before, but now he wasn't too far from the truth.
"Who's there?!" He yelled, half hoping for somebody to be there. He stumble-walked from the corner he was panicking in, looking for any signs of life. He sourced the sound from near the body.
Noah.
There it was again, this time Noah was looking at the body. There was no denying it now. Although he couldn't tell what he was denying in the first place.
She's waiting.
He absentmindedly reached out to the body, getting closer. Half of him was wriggling inside from the stench and disgust, while the other half only had one goal in mind. He looked through the man's coat pockets before pulling out the wonderful vial which contained all that he needed.
Tears escaped his eyes as he gripped the tiny vial containing the strongest fairy bones the market could offer. He gazed at it in the moonlight through one of the side windows, it shimmering in the majestic light. It was calling to Noah. It was the voice. It was the voice?
Noah didn't care about anything any longer. Everything up to this point was worth it. Having his already open wounds salted by each and every encounter. Now he could be happy. Truly happy. Happily addicted to his one and only.
But not yet.
He stood up, keeping his hold on the fairy bones as he inspected the body. The tears stopped as his vision cleared. The body looked movable, at least, and no one would think anything of one measly citizen never showing their face again. They never cared about Noah. He took a breath before moving to the nearby closet. He opened it, inspecting the surprisingly large space it offered. A few coats and clothes were left, and an occupied shelf, but the man would fit snuggly. Perfect, Noah thought. He placed Ashlynn in his pocket before raided the closet, tearing everything out and throwing it onto one of the two nearby beds. He decided to not inspect anything like he usually would, for this wasn't the best time to learn who somebody is. Was. Shivering, he gripped his pocket, regaining his sliver of sanity before going back to clearing the closet. When enough space was cleared, he quickly shoved everything under both of the beds. Now for the difficult bit.
