Chapter 17

((a few months later))

-Thranduil's P.O.V-

I was talking to Sellion in the throne room when a nurse came running in.

"My Lord. The Queen is going into labor" she said.

I followed her to the room Irethia was in. I went to the side of the bed and held her hand.

((a little while later))

Vanya handed me our son and said "He looks so much like you."

She looked like she could cry. She has always been like a mother to me.

I sat in a chair next to the bed Iree was in, and handed her our child.

She smiled and gently rubbed her hand against his cheeck.

"So, What should we name him?" I asked.

"I-I was thinking.. Legolas" she replied.

"Legolas... I like it" I said.

I kissed Irethia on the cheeck as we both just watched our little Legolas, who was gazing back up at us with wide, blue eyes.

((1 year later)) I was woken in the middle of the night by Legolas crying. I shoved Thranduil a little and said "Our little leaf is awake. Go and get him for me please" I said.

"Ugh" he groaned. "Why don't you." "It's your turn" I said.

"Fine" he groaned again.

A few minutes later he came back with Legolas. He handed him to me and then went back to sleep. I got Legolas to go back to sleep. Then I smiled.

I leaned over and wispered in Thranduil's ear "I love you" and kissed his cheek.

Ofcourse he didn't answer. He was already asleep.

((A few years later))

-Irethia's P.O.V-

Thranduil had gone to a town that was under attack by orcs, and ended up staying there longer than he thought. After all the orcs that attacked were killed, I brought supplies and food they needed. When we were about to leave, a dragon attacked the town.

I stood there frozen in terror. Just wondering what to do.

"Irethia go!" Thranduil yelled.

What? I have lost Thranduil too many times, I am not going to lose him again. I can't possibly just leave him!, I thought.

"No! I'm not going to leave you!"I yelled.

I looked down at Legolas who was laying in my arms, and I kissed his forehead. Then I ran over to my personal maid who had come to the town with me.

"Take Legolas back to the palace" I said.

"B-but my Queen. W-what are you doing?" "just go! Please!" I yelled with tears in my eyes.

I ran over to Thranduil who was facing the dragon with his small army.

"What are you doing!" he yelled. "You need to leave!"

"No!" I yelled back.

The dragon hit Thranduil with his giant head, causing him to fly through the air and hit the ground. I ran over to him,  and knelt beside him. "Thranduil" I whispered.

The dragon came closer to us.

I kissed Thranduil as tears ran down my face.

I got up and started to walk towards the dragon.

"I-Iree.. What are you d-doing?!" Thranduil said. He tried to get up and stop me, but he just couldn't.

I ran over to the dragon, and pointed my sword at it's face.

Whats was I doing.. I have no chance against a dragon. All I knew was that I was trying to protect the one I loved.

The dragon hit me with it's head, and I flew through the air and hit a rock. "ah!" i yelled in pain.

The dragon came over to me and almost stepped on me. One of his claws scratched my side.

Tears streamed down my face.

Finally the dragon flew away. "Irethia!" I heard Thranduil yell. He ran over to me ignoring his wounds. He sit down and held me in his arms.
