PAUL's P.O.V.
"Mate, will you stop scratching your nose? It's irritating." George narked at my mannerism.
I can't help it! I'm so nervous that I either keep biting my nails or scratching my nose rapidly. I feel so stupid that I can't find the nerve to calm down.
We've been searching all day for Jude but there was no sign of her. We tried searching in D'Oldies club, the grocery store, and even asked around her university. But no one seemed to give us any rightful clue on where our girl could be.
It's frustrating because it's all my fault! If only I didn't overreact, I should've never yelled at her like that. She's our fan yet... I was a terrible idol to her.
As George and I rested under one of the waiting sheds outside the university, I only managed to run my hands to my hair due to frustration. "Calm down, we'll find Jude as soon as possible."
"Calm down? How can I calm down when she's disappeared out of nowhere? If something bad happens to her, there will be no one to blame but me! I pushed her so I should take responsibility for pulling her back to us, y'know." I said, taking deep breaths.
I could feel George's pity gaze at me. I can't blame him, he's worried for Jude as much as I do. Ever since we settled our differences, it was George who always consulted Jude whenever he can.
During those times, I was always with Madame Jane. George may had always hung out with the Odinson heiress but he still finds the time to be with our girl like the sweet guy he really is. Whereas for me, I did nothing but to wrong her.
"Sir Paul? Is that you?" I looked up to find the owner of the voice. A young man wearing glasses from the university came in front of our shed.
Seeing his mop-topped hairstyle and his kind smile, I tried to remember where did I see him before.
"James? The polite man who works at the sweets shop?" The latter nodded delightfully, "Yes, that's me. I'm glad you remembered. What brings you here at our university?"
It was George who answered, "We're actually looking for someone. Has the name Jude Parker ring a bell to you?"
"Jude? Judy Parker?" We both nodded, hoping for a clear response from the teenager. "Yes, as a matter of fact, we share the same course together."
"That's great! Have you seen her in class today?" That's where his face changed to confusion, "Actually, I didn't. We only received an excuse letter from her that she'll skip school today. I find it bizarre 'cause she never missed a day at school or work. Even if she gets sick, she always managed to be present."
George and I both looked at each other in shock. If she wasn't at work or at the university, where could she be?
"If I may ask," James inserted, "What's your connection to my friend?"
"Oh, I-I'm George Harris, Jude's right-arm cousin." Trying my best not to react to George's reasoning, I scratched my head and thought of something sensible to say.
Putting my arms around George, I said, "I'm Billy Shears, we're stepbrothers."
The teenager raised a brow, "I thought your name was James Paul. You said it to me back at Glucosey."
My colleague looked at me with horror that screams, did you just give him your real personal information?
I looked back at him in defense, no, I didn't!
"Oh, that was a prank. I asked him to change his name that day and prank other people about it. I guess you were one of the unfortunate to be fooled by him." George reasoned out quickly. Sigh, the power of telepathy.
