Logan's POV

"Brandon! Aren't your classes suppose to begin now?!" a yell forced my heavy eyelids to divulge the bluegreen iris of mine. I wipe the sleepiness over my eyes and I find myself laying in the couch. I sat up and saw Brandon busy drooling over his pillow.

I've forgotten I spent the night over Brandon's. My mom should be worried as hell now! Out of nowhere, I notice a movement in the corner of my eye and when I tilt my head to see it, Liza is already standing with her body leant against the door frame. And the door is widely opened. I move my sight in the upper part, and there is the wall clock indicating the time. Wait, is it 7:55 already?! Uh oh, I'm so late! There's no way I can do it in a minute!

"good morning Liz" I say in rush and ran over her going to my house.

"you should eat first Logie." she teased while I still can hear it.

"my mom should be worrying as hell now!" I yell back as my foot reach the wooden floor of their living room.

"she called last night, she knew you're here." she insists and the smell of fresh baked chocolate cookies with some pancakes and bacon with eggs entered my nostrils. She prepared everything I like. I can't say no to this.

"go on, Brandon will just join me after you." it's tempting.

"you can just join me." I invite her while making myself comfortable in my usual seat. Brandon's dad has surely already in his office.

"if you say so, kid." she laughed and so did I.

We both enjoyed the breakfast she prepared. We talked about some stuffs that aren't really funny but I don't know why I laughed at them. After breakfast, I made my way to my house and when I enter the house, mom and dad are just eating yet.

"morning mom, morning dad" I took the time to greet them while running upstairs.

"how's the sleep over?" dad asks

"we'll talk later, I'm so late" and they both nod in understanding.

I search for clothes on my wardrobe, and since there's no much time, I just pulled the black skinny jeans and a gray shirt with black jacket that I first saw. It only took me seven minutes in the shower and I left my hair as it is.

I took my bag and when I ran outside, my parents were still chatting so I just said my goodbye. I ride in my bike and started pedaling as fast as I could. I hope I still can reach it in time.

As I get in the middle of my way, I notice it's getting harder to pedal this bike. With this amount of force I already had used, I should be there now, but I'm still far away. I stopped for a while and rest under the domain of this big tree that I don't know what they call. I check my bike to know what is wrong and I saw the front tire, airless. It's flat?

"WHAT THE HECK! I'M SO LATE NOW AND YOU WON'T COOPERATE?" I yell at my bike. I can't help it. If I'll leave it here and just run to school, it might get my parents a decade to buy me another one. If I'll take it home and go to school, I'll have to get rid of the consequences of being late which I don't know coz I've never been late in my whole life. And I can't take that. I wiped the forming sweats on my forehead, trying to calm myself, but the more I think of it, the more I hate this day.

Alex's POV

I have to make it, I have to make it. I can't be late in my first day there!

"you go to Eastward High?" Dakota speaks from nowhere.

"yeah" I mumble while finishing my hair.

"I'll drive you" she offers

"no thanks, I'll just walk... For exercise" I say and she laughed.
