Alyssa's POV;
"I wish we could just leave this place right now. I can't wait until tomorrow!", I said taking another sip of my milkshake. Jack Johnson and I had gotten milkshakes while everyone else was on Gatorade.
"Try being here twice a month.", Jack piped up.
"Try being here for two months!", Hayes yelled back holding up two long, chubby fingers.
I giggled at the both of them and threw my empty plastic cup away.
"What's the first thing you guys are gonna do tomorrow?", Shawn said. I adored how excited my big brother was that he would be able to sleep in his own bed again and go back to making sure me and Chloe wouldn't beat the shit out of each other over clothes and TV shows.
"Chill with you guys obviously.", Nash said grinning wide.
I think we just made some new, great friends.
"GO NOW! Before his pulse gives out again!!!", A tall woman wearing a long, white coat yelled frantically pushing a metal cart with big machines down the hallway towards the room next to Shawns. It was strange...throughout the whole Young Adult Wing- I never saw anyone leave the room next to Shawn's, yet it was occupied.
"Cmon let's go!", I hopped off the table and we all followed the doctor at a good distance. Tons of nurses and other doctors wearing masks and holding needles followed her into the room. When they all went inside I could peek enough through the door to see the patient list.

"I think he had a heart attack or something. Poor kid.", I said biting my nail and putting my head in the crook of Shawn's neck. He brushed my hair and rubbed my shoulder.
"Why don't we go see him after...you know, if he ends up okay.", Shawn suggested.
Jack, Nash, and Hayes nodded- and so did I.
And we waited.
-2 Hours Later-
Nash's POV;
Jack and I played thumb war the entire time we were waiting for the doctors to walk out of the room. I was so interested to meet this kid. He was only 16 and having a heart attack? I'd hate to be in his shoes..
It was terrible enough watching your 14 year old little brother have seizures two to three times a month and not even remember them. Once, I was 7 years old throwing a football around with my oldest brother, Will and Hayes was watching. Next thing Will and I knew he was on the floor with his eyes rolled back and he was shaking and I cried as Will who was only 11, carried him while running inside to our mom.
It was and still is the most horrifying thing to ever happen to me in my life, and Hayes doesn't even know of it. He can only remember so much after he's had one of them. He's real embarrassed about it, and I think he really likes this Alyssa girl which is why he hasn't told her.
I truly was excited to hang out with these guys when we could leave tomorrow afternoon. I could finally get out of that cramped apartment and do something.
Finally, the doctor with the long white coat came out sighing of relief and waved Matt goodbye. We could hear him groaning and quickly entered his room before any of them could see.
"Shhh!", I said putting my finger to my mouth.
He looked confused as it was, and now he really didn't know what was happening. I took a seat in the uncomfortable chair next to him and put my hand on the rough, hard pillow.
I looked across him to see a bunch of needles in his stomach and heart and blood sugar monitors.
"Who are you?", he asked sitting up.
"Hello Matt. We're here to make your life better.", Alyssa said grinning.
"Nice to meet you Matt.", we all stuck out our hands as he hesitantly shook them.
"Look I just had a rough time, think you could leave?", he said trying not to sound too harsh.
I looked down and ran my fingers through my hair. Just when Alyssa and Shawn were about to give up I interrupted.
"Look Matt. The thing is- you need friends and we're here to help. So until you learn to love us, no, we can't leave."
Hayes and Jack agreed, which made Alyssa and Shawn sit back down.
He sighed.
"Well..okay. I'm Matthew Espinosa."
