Foxys pov

A twinge, I could feel a twinge of pain shoot through my leg. Opening my eyes I was able to gaze around the ruined and burning basement, now, fully engulfed.

"Shit" I whispered gently to myself, whipping around to try and find an exit, with none to be found but walls of what seemed to be solid flames. In front of me I could just strain my eyes to see through the licking flames to see the elevator, no chance. It's metal cage was glowing a hot red along side the fact that cables were now draped over it.

"HELLO" I screamed as I jerked myself to my feet, "FUCK" I bellowed, I had now felt the tremendous, pulsing pain in my head. Putting two fingers to my head, I pulled them back to reveal a thick, dark liquid, slowing snaking its way down my forehead.

Slowly, I staggered off of the wall, nearly stumbling headfirst into the hell fire that was pooled all around. I quickly tried to find a solution, staining my eyes even further than before, I could see flashing lights at the end of the tomb, engine 67! There's was a hole as big as a fire truck in the ceiling, But how to get to it? The floor was flamed off, trapping me. Then, I saw it, the broken pipe that had been dousing the boiler. It had been blown off of its brackets by the blast and had managed to swing itself into the middle of the room, spraying the flames and causing a safe zone. Looking up, it was clear that the roof had been damaged, especially the floor above of me, it was now cracked with dust clouds being sent out at random intervals.

"Holy mother-" I began but suddenly,

CRASH

The ceiling above me caved in with one swift movement and in the same breath I dove towards the flames. Tumbling to the ground I looked around, around each side of me, all I could see was water droplets being sent onto my head, I had made it. Now, how to get out?

"Over here!" I voice called out, squinting towards the truck, through the smoke and flames, I could see the glint of one of the firefighters breathing apparatus, adjoined to that was a firefighter, waving his arms above his head.

"I see you" I shouted back before doubling over in a rasped coughing fit as the smoke began to consume me. Bringing my head up, I could see another spray of water, not a heavy jet but more of a hard mist coming from the men's hose.

"RUN!" The man yelled, indicating towards the path that they were keeping clear through the flames, almost like Moses parting the Red Sea. By instinct I snapped back to reality before charging this now clear road, snapping past the lapping flames that were intent to consume me. Leaping, I jumped forwards towards the men, landing hard on bartered concrete and splintered wood.

"Let's go" another firefighter called out as he heaved below my arm, bringing me to my feet before helping me stumble up the embankment towards the night sky.

Coughing fit to burst, I felt the cool night air lap around my face, it's cool hand brushing it's fingers gently through my hair, the smell of burning wood coming along once more, aside the smell of gas and a faint perfume smell. I could now feel the pull under my arm as I was helped gently over to triage, this being set up in the storefront of an old, empty flower shop over the road. I felt myself being dumped not so gently onto a gurney, a gentle spring of the suspension as flopped onto it. Immediately, a mask was forced onto my face by one of the paramedics, I got a slight glimpse of one of them before a light with the same wattage of the sun was shone into my eye.

"Gerroff" I mumbled, almost not hearing myself, the words coming out scrambled and almost incoherent.

"Pupils blown, slurring, possible concussion" the medic spoke, almost talking to no one, the sound of an ambulance rung out through the open shop doors, propping myself up I saw two more paramedics bringing in another gurney, seconds later, wheeling a second one out, this one with Mari on, her arm hanging loosely by her side as the medics left in a rush, Goldy on their heels.

"Goldy, what the hell is-" I had begun but he paid me no attention as he followed Mari, couldn't blame him, I would be equally worried if it were-

"MANGLE"
