Chapter 17: Boom goes the boiler

Foxys pov

Me and Freddy thrashed around almost like we were caught in a riptide, the struggle involving sharp jabs into my side, almost as if being hit by a speeding truck with myself throwing my fist countless times into his face in a fruitless bid to render him unconscious but to little avail. Searing pain ripping throughout my abdomen, the gun that had been tightly gripped in his hand now lay about 20 feet away amid sparked ashes. The large boiler in the corner beginning to whistle as the safety valves failed, the gauges glass shattering and exploding around the basement, luckily a burst water pipe was smothering the boiler to delay the inevitable explosion. The whistling started to break on and off as it prepared to blow, suddenly Freddy managed to get the upper hand on me and pinned me down long enough to get away from my grasp, running towards the gun.

"FREDDY NO" I bellowed as I got up and ran in the opposite direction, not fearing the gun but the blast, the whistling peeped as-

BOOM

Fire bellowed around the warehouse as the explosion of broken metal and charred wood attempted to escape, the whole upper floor collapsing downwards, a solid two feet of concrete no less. Tables, chairs and even the remains of the stage coming down hard, I'd never known until now that the basement went slightly under the street, finding this out as the resident truck 97 from the fire station across the road collapsed through the ceiling and its front coming to a rest inside of the stack of boxes. I shielded myself behind one of the large concrete support beams in an attempt to cover myself, it was in vain though as the support beam got crushed by flying concrete from the roof, there was a dull clunk as something heavy hit my head, I fought to stay awake but decided against it and fell into an almost peaceful sleep.

Yenndos pov

We all stood outside of the flaming pizzeria, the burning hot embers bursting out of the roof as if on a timer, I could hear wood splintering as it crashed to the floor inside. Goldy had gone in a few minutes ago and had pulled Fred out before running in again. All the Funtimes were here apart from Ft. Foxy and Ft. Freddy as they had gone with BonBon and Bonnet to the hospital.

"Where are they" Lolbit whimpered beside me, suddenly-

"Over here" Goldys voice rang out, looking over him and Mangle were walking out, both covered in smoke and Mangles dress charred and blackened,

"MANGLE" Lolbit immediately running up to Mangle and hugging her tightly.

"Lolbit" I heard her breath happily.

"God I was worried about you" Lolbit breathed relieved s they both hugged each other. Suddenly sirens emerged out of the thick smoke that had been smothering the street, truck 97 pulling up and parking directly in front of the pizzeria. The men quickly jumped out and ran to the fire station,

"We need more air" The lieutenant breathed heavily, referring to the air canisters that they had strapped to their backs allowing them to breath inside of the blazes they fought, "We've had to leave engine 67 to deal with your place".

"What's happening-" I began but before I could finish-

BOOM

A large sheet of fire and smoke boomed out of the building sending us all sprawling to the ground, the top of the building being blasted apart as flames rocketed out of the top sending debris everywhere, the front of the firetruck that had once stood before us disappearing into a large crater that had now emerged in the street, coming to a stop with its ass in the air and the rear four wheels not even on the ground, coming to a rest with a tremendous plume of black smoke billowing out of the basement.

"Lieutenant, the fire's jumping" One of the crew shouted out, swivelling around whilst still on the floor to see a large chunk of our roof, still ablaze, resting on top of their firehouse.

"Lord" the lieutenant breathed before turning back to his radio, "Truck 97 to main, over", the response almost immediate,

"Received truck 97" control buzzed through the radio,

"Requesting assistance, our truck is out of action, and engine 67 is still dealing with another blaze, the fires jumped building onto our firehouse" The lieutenant explained, the response this time taking a lot longer to come back.

"Copied 97, sending trucks 86, 91 and 95 to your location, estimated 10 minutes" The voice out of the radio replied before fizzling out with a crackle, it was visible on the lieutenants face that he was worried, he then turned back to me, both of us now on our feet.

"Do you know if anyone's inside" He quickly questioned me, I racked my brains whilst counting the people before coming to a final conclusion.

"U-Uh ye, Foxy's inside" I answered worriedly, the lieutenant turning around to try and access the situation before turning back to his crew.

"Listen up, in building 1 we have a missing civilian, Otis, Mouch, Gallow, Kid, you three are on that" he ordered before turning to the remain two "us three are going to keep the fire on building 2 contained whilst we wait for an engine company, we go into building 1 when they arrive, is that clear"

"Yes sir"

Mangles pov

Me and Goldy had only just came around front when-

"MANGLE" Lolbits dulcet voice rang out, louder than anything that was happening.

"Lolbit" I breathed thankfully, I had seen her only fifteen minutes ago but it seemed like forever whilst inside of that inferno.

"God I was worried about you" she breathed, almost panicked. I noticed Goldy quickly jogging off to check on Mari, "are you alright?"

"Y-Ye, I'm fine-"

BOOM

I suddenly felt myself flying through the air as the gigantic explosion rocked what seemed to be the world. I was on the ground, the smell of melted tarmac and burnt hair meeting my nose as I just lay there, all I could hear was a light ringing, still lay flat on my front on the pavement. I suddenly felt a pair of hands shaking me before turning me over. It was a bit hazy but I could make out Lolbits face, a burn on her cheek bone and a bit of ash but nothing more. I could see her mouth moving but couldn't hear the words that were coming from her mouth. Still dazed I turned my head, bystanders and firefighters were running all over the place with my friends amongst the ones, amidst the crowd I could see Circus Baby yelling at the top of her lungs, emphasis on see as I still couldn't hear anything.

"Mang, Mang" I heard someone almost whispering, I looked around for the source and saw Lolbit still gripped onto me before-

Smack

"MANGLE" Lolbit screamed at the top of her lungs,

"W-What" I spluttered a bit shocked my the blow that had just been received my the side of my head,

"Are you okay" She half screamed, this almost deafening me again,

"Yes, please stop yelling" I pleaded, she shrugged as I looked around a bit more, splintered and still flaming wood all around us with a noticeable amount of rock and bricks among it. "What happened?"

"The building blew up, again" she frowned hastily, it took me a moment to register but suddenly-

"Foxy" I whispered to myself, "FOXY"
