Chapter 14: Burn!

Foxys pov

Me and Mangle were speeding down the long and winding beach road, the sun had almost completely set now, an orange glow now illuminating the skyline over the town, from this side though the hospital blocked most of it due to its vast size.

"FOXY" I heard Mang call out from behind me, she was on the back of my Motorbike to get back to the pizzeria, I could just see out of the corner of my eye that Mangles hair had become loose and was now billowing behind us, her dress doing the same kind of dance in the wind.

"YE MANG" I called back, having to shout was annoying but it helped that we didn't have to stop,

"WHAT'S THAT" she yelled, pointing towards the skyline, we were now back onto actual tarmac and were getting closer and closer towards the town. I looked towards where she was pointing, squinting to get a better view.

Fuck I thought, that was smoke that was entwining itself with the cool air, the smoke was grey so that meant it hadn't destroyed whatever building that was, or it wasn't in the structure yet at least.

"Should we go check it out" she queried cautiously, I could now hear her as we had slowed to the speed limit and the roar of the motor had subsided.

"Ye, they may need help" I nodded as I revved the bike once more before accelerating down the road, following the path of smoke.

"Is that" Mangle gasped behind me, it was as clear as day to where the fire was now, it was the Funtimes ice cream parlour.

"Shit" I whispered as we finally got close enough, screeching as I slammed the brakes on the bike, we came skidding up outside of the Ice Cream shop.

"GUYS" Yenndo exclaimed waving us towards the other side of the road, we quickly ran over to him, all of the rest of the Funtimes were out here apart from one-

"Wait, Where's Bonnet" Mangle questioned, we all looked around to try and find the pink haired girl but she just wasn't there.

"Crap" I growled, quickly whipping my blazer and tie off, ready to run into the building when-

"BON BON NO" Ft Freddy exclaimed, turning back just as the blue haired boy ran towards the burning building, I quickly dived to tackle him but missed as he managed to dodge me, sitting up we all saw him rush into the burning shop and to be engulfed by thick smoke amid the anguished yells from the Funtimes.

"I'm going in" I screamed, dashing towards the billowing, smokey building when suddenly-

BOOM

A backdraft sent me spinning towards the ground, the remaining glass that had stayed in the window shattering and the shards tinkling as they hit the tarmac and me.

"NO" the cry from Ft Freddy exclaimed, dropping to his knees as he sobbed into his hands. Looking back to the building, only small flames now remained on the splintered remains of the front entrance.

"Fuck" I sighed as I got to my feet, putting my hands to my face in anger, I had seen it, I had seen the fire retreat before it exploded outwards in search of air, walking back frustrated to the sobbing and distraught Funtimes when-

"GUYS" Mangle yelled, whipping around we could see two figures emerging from amid the remains, a pink haired girl with bunny ears, covered in smoke and with her arm around Bon Bons shoulders, the blue bunny having his clothes charred and a decent sized burn on his right cheek.

"Jesus" I muttered as me and Ft Freddy dashed over, I quickly scooped Bonnet off of Bon Bons shoulder and carried her over to the pavement, setting her down just as the sound of sirens could be heard in the distance, a few seconds later ambulance 37 came screeching up to the scene, with paramedics rushing over to all of us and starting to work on Bonnet.

"Female, late teens, smoke inhalation, 2nd degree burns to her lower legs, unconscious on arrival, breathing without interference" the female paramedic observed, a second later amid the lights from the ambulance, truck 97 and engine 67 had both arrived on scene, already getting to work as Bon Bon rushed over to the Lieutenant just within my earshot.

"Sir, are you in charge here" He quickly asked, the lieutenant turning to face him

"Yes son, what is it" he smiled coolly

"Be careful, the whole building reeks of something" he warned, the lieutenants smile faded at this as he realised that he wasn't just speaking to a scared teenager, he was speaking to probably the only person who could warn them.

"Okay son, now this is extremely important, did you see any cans" he inquired seriously

"No, but there were large metal drums of something that wasn't there before" he informed him, at this comment the lieutenant quickly turned to his radio,

"Change Of plan, no one enters that building, we have unknown chemicals inside" he addressed them before turning back to Bon Bon "thanks son, now go and get yourself checked out my the medics over there"

"Okay Sir" he nodded smiling as he walked back towards the Funtimes-

BOOM

A second explosion rocked the ground, the blast hadn't come from the Ice Cream shop either, it had came from across town, it had came from-

"MANGLE, THE PIZZERIA!"
