Orphan Train

Molly's Perspective

One grey and stormy night I, Molly was sleeping peacefully when suddenly CRASH! Lightning struck the house and I woke up in fright, I looked out the window that was starting to burn "the house is on fire!" I thought to myself. So I grabbed my doll, Annabelle and jumped out the window. I watched as the house collapsed right in front of me. I looked around there was no other living soul around, I was the only living soul in my town now. I started to cry, thousands of tears slid down my face as I started to try and find a tree to live under, as I was walking I saw people coming out from under burnt houses. I saw I wasn't the only one alive here, then I saw my best friend Holly she ran out of her burnt down house crying "M-mum a-a-nd D-dad are...." Holly stuttered as tears poured down her face "what are your mum and dad?" I said confused "D-d-d-dead!" She screamed as she burst into even more tears I started crying too as I remembered that same thing happened to me. "M-m-mine toooo" I said still crying, we hugged each other which instantly cheered us both up "All the houses in the street got burnt down and now there are a lot of orphans" Holly said informing me "Does that mean we have to go on the orphan train or live in the orphanage until we wait until new parents which could be forever?" I asked her sadly "Yeah it does but It does mean we can play dolls more!" She said trying to cheer me up "ok" I said shyly. We ran to the train tracks where everyone was waiting for the train, to pass time me and Holly played with our dolls...
