part three.
he hestitated before stepping into the door, his large frame towering over you. you shut the door awkwardly and headed up the hardwood stairs, hearing his heavy footsteps follow. you reluctantly opened the door of your bland bedroom, proceeding to sit on the bed.
"uh, you can sit in my desk chair, just throw the shit on the floor." you say as you reach into your backpack for your textbook. he smoothly slides the miscellanious junk on the floor and sits in the chair. a small accessory to his large body. he puts his head in his hands.
"fuck, i left my textbook in my locker." he says angrily. you let out a breath you didnt know you were holding. "we can just share mine i guess?" you say mousily. for some reason you had grown very nervous, and you werent sure why. he rises to his feet and strides over to the other side of my bed.
"thats fine," he mumbles, reaching to turn the textbook slightly towards himself. he starts to read the notecards on your bed aloud. as he talks, you study his actions. his breathing is unsteady. and his hands are sort of, shaky? "you dont have to be nervous." you blurt out. his face immediatly shoots up and catches your stare, glaring back. "i do (y/n), do you have any idea what kind of things would happen if i failed? my mom would fucking disown me. my friends would all be continuing and im the fucking loser stuck in the same grade. id be labeled as stupid, just like my dad always said i was..." he whispered the last part.
tears started to well up in his eyes as he clenched his fists. he walked over to the vanity on my desk and sat down dropping his eyes to the wood of the desk. you take in what just happened before walking over to him and placing your hands on his hunched shoulders.
