Tuesdays are always the worst. Everyone talks shit about Monday this, Monday that but Tuesday is the real enemy. Monday is unavoidable but Tuesday sneaks up and tells you, 'hey you know how you hated yesterday so much, well you gotta do that shit again for the next 4 days, haha xoxo'

"Sweetheart you're going to be late" my mother calls from the hall and I groan in response. "Can I be sick?!" I call, smashing my head against the pillow. My mother lets out a laugh before yanking the blankets off my body. "Wakey wakey sleeping beauty" she booms before walking out of the room, leaving me in fumes. Calista and Riley convinced the rest of us to stay at the little spring of water till around 6 pm, and then we went to some overly expensive restaurant before going star gazing and when we got home it was 2 am. My under-eyes were puffy and dark from the lack of sleep and my head pounds.

I quickly get ready, not bothering to brush my hair or change my outfit, my pyjamas would have to do for now. I feel the crisp Chicago breeze brush over my body as soon as I walk out the door, the smell of spring kissing my nose.

A car horn going off pulls me out of my thoughts. Calista's black Range Rover parked in front of my middle-class house was an odd sight to take in. "I'm coming, I'm coming, Turn that shit off I'm barely awake," I seethe, ignoring the laugh Calista lets out a laugh to mock me. I shut my eyes and fall back to sleep until we reach the school.

When we reach the school I wake up to a cold breeze on my face, "it's spring, why is it so damn cold," I groan and Cal raises an eyebrow. "it's not cold you're just a baby, let's go," I roll my eyes and pull myself out of the comfortable seat. "Riley!" Calista cheers and drags me to go to the girl who looked just as exhausted as me. "Why are you so loud at 7 am Cali," She complains while rubbing her eyes.

Calista was a morning person, I was not, and by the looks of it neither was Riley. The three of us walk into the school and I mope to my locker. My heart almost jumps out of my chest when my locker door is shut and Gale stands right there, with a lopsided grin. "Hey, Gale," I say breathless, clasping onto my chest.

"Didn't mean to scare you, just didn't see you at lunch or after school yesterday and got a little worried that you left again," he says, giving a half-smile. I reach forward and tussle his hair, "I'm fine thanks, I'm not leaving until the year is done, guess you're stuck with me" I beam, making his smile grow. He pulls me into a hug before turning around and leaving. I turn around to see two smirking faces.

Cal and Riley grin widely at me but I roll my eyes at them, "let's get to class" I grunted, walking past the girls and into Mr. Trupp's classroom. Me and Riley take our seats in the back of the class and Calista blows a kiss at us before turning to strut to her math class. "Tristan there is no way I'm allowing you to go on a four-week vacation without homework this late in the term, you either finish the terms work before you leave or you will do it while you are there, end of the story," he booms, visibly annoyed but Tristan's words. Tristan nods his head and exits takes his seat, muttering under his breath.

The rest of the period passes by quickly with me and Tristan being consistent in our differing opinions and Riley chiming in at points to cheer me on and glaring at Tristan again. We decide to head over to my house to start working on the project after school since we didn't get anything done today in class. I'm about to walk to my next class when a sound pulls me off route. "Celia don't touch me right now," I recognize the voice as Dylan's. Celia was a lot to handle but his voice was too tense for just a regular encounter with her. "It's not my fault, I didn't know she already moved on, I just wanted her away from Gale. Gale and I are supposed to be together, please don't tell her, I don't want her to hate me." She begs and I find myself being drawn in, are they talking about me? "Celia you know how fucked up this is right? I have to tell her," having heard enough from both parties, I begin walking away. I didn't want to get caught up in drama on my second day back.
