We'd only been here for two days but it was the best time I'd had in so long. Although we weren't happy about sharing a room between the four of us at first, it changed when we saw just how big it was. There were four twin-sized beds, two washrooms, and a balcony with a hot tub.

Safe to say, there could be enough room for at least 5 more people.

"Who was that cute blond you were talking up last night," Calista asked with her eyes closed, leaning into the wall of the tub.

Kaden's eyes immediately shot to mine and I felt myself sink deeper into the pool. "Nobody" I whispered.

Ace chucked and slapped the back of Kaden's neck. "Leave her alone, she's eighteen now" he was still smiling but then his eyes connected with mine.

What the fuck is up with him?

"She could be forty but she's still my little sister," Kaden says and I roll my eyes at him.

"Calista the "blond boy" is Jaxon and he is just a friend,"  I say answering the past question, making sure to enunciate the last word.

"For now" Calista smirks at the same time Kaden mutters "Better be".

I look to Ace for a reaction but he keeps eye contact with me and I furrow my brows towards him.

Suddenly a flash of anger goes through his eyes and he gets up from the tub.

"Lissa, I'm gonna call mama," he says walking away.

"Ok I'll be right there," she says, annoyance clear in her voice.

Don't get me wrong, Calista loved her mother, But she could get a little, overprotective, sometimes.

Growing up Calista was never allowed out without Ace. Ace would never go anywhere without Kaden and boom, all our hangouts were all four of us.

We made the most of what we had to work with, Ace and Kaden would let us, for the most part, do anything as long as we were responsible and vice versa.

"Ok I'm back bitches" Calista says as she hops back into the pool. Ace wasn't with her.

"Where'd Ace go?"  Kaden asks Calista curiously.

"He said something about 'the cute redhead from last night' I don't know I wasn't really listening" she replies, once again getting comfortable.

Typical of Ace to have a new girl every night. Poor girl doesn't even know what she's getting herself into.

"the ginger?! He said he's going for the blond in glasses!" Kaden exclaims and I splash him with water and roll my eyes.

"Do you two ever even take the time to know the names of these girls? Or are you too self-absorbed and disrespectful to even think of that? Manwhores" I say feeling a flare of anger through my body at how they disrespect these poor unknowing girls.

"Ara you know it's not like that, I'm sorry," he says but his apology meant nothing to me. They say actions speak louder than words and that was exactly how I felt right now.

"Save it, Kaden, I don't need your apologies," I say and stomp out of the room. As soon as the door closes I let the tears slide down my face.

The memories flash through my head of the night I wanted so badly to forget.

That's not happening anytime soon, I think to myself.

The tears start coming down faster now as I run into the elevator and press a random button.

"Shit, Arabella?" I hear a deep voice and turn to see Jaxon from last night.

I quickly wipe away my tears.

"Fuck" I mutter. "Hey, Jax" I force a smile.

He smiles a sad smile at me. "Come here," He says opening his arms wide, and without thinking I wrap my arms around his torso.

I leaned into him, inhaling the soft smell of fresh flowers and rain. It took everything in me to pull away from his soft embrace.

"I'm sorry" I whisper.

"Don't apologize for your emotions" He says, his soft smile once again appearing on his face.

"I'm not gonna force you to tell me, but if you need to talk you know I'm always here for you. Ok?" He says, rubbing my back soothingly.

I nod and suddenly the elevator opens and I stand face to face with Ace.

I bite my lip in nervousness and take a step back to feel my back flush against Jaxon's chest, resulting in a look of fury to rest on Ace's face.

Only then did I look behind him to see the most beautiful ginger-haired girl I've ever seen.

She smiled brightly at me. Not a rude sarcastic smile but a genuine smile that showed she was happy to see me.

She bounced over to me, the same smile still playing on her lips.

"You must be the famous Arabella," she says pointing to me and I nod. "And you are Kaden?" She asks confused.

"No I'm Jaxon, Arabella's friend," he says.

I feel Ace's gaze burn into my head as I keep eye contact with the girl.

"I'm Lillian, but everyone just calls me Lilli or Lia" she says grinning and it suddenly clicks. I mentally facepalm myself at how I didn't notice earlier.

Lillian is Calista's long-distance girlfriend and Ace was surprising her. God, I was dumb.

"Oh my goodness Lillian I can't believe you are here! Cal is gonna be so happy." I Smile hugging her.

"So can we go or do you want to stand here all day" Ace's annoyed voice speaks.

"Oh right, sorry," I say awkwardly, pulling away.

We all pile into the elevator as Ace presses the button for the top floor, including Jax who I quickly convinced to come with us.

We slowly open the door to our room to reveal a sleeping Kaden and Calista still in the hot tub with her eyes closed and her earbuds in her ear.

We watch as Lillian walks to Calista silently, making sure not to startle her, and stops behind her.

As if sensing her presence, Cal opens her eyes and turns around to see Lillian smiling at her.

She screams and wraps her arms around Lillian's neck.

I hear ruffling and turn to see my brother awake and confused, looking around before his eyes land on the hugging couple and he smiles.

"So she found out huh," he says.

"You knew?" I and Calista exclaim at the same time.

"Obviously I knew, I helped plan it," he says praising himself.

"Arabella" I hear Jaxon say behind me and I turn to face him.

"Do you want to... go for a walk?" He says, playing with his shirt.

"Sure" I smile and walk towards him.

"Arabella Esme Jameson" I hear and turn to roll my eyes at my overprotective brother. " be back by 6 young lady," he says wagging a finger at me.

"Mhmm" I mutter and walk out of the room.

I glanced at Ace before shutting the door and his intense eyes cut holes into my body.

What the fuck is wrong with him?!?
