Hatter walked through the forest in the direction of the tea party. Chshire appeared next to him.
"Be careful, Tarant." He had a serious tone.
"She said not to blame myself, so I'm taking her word. Also, stop doing that," He said, referring to Cheshire's appearing and disappearing habit. "it's quite inconvenient, you know." He finished. Cheshire blinked, then sighed, being used to Hatter's weird commentary. Of course, Chess had been able to do that for years, so it shouldn't fase Hatter.
"I meant with your emotions." The floating cat explained. "You feel a certain way, you're avoiding something, but you won't even journal about it, or at least sew it into the brim of a hat. I don't know what exactly it is you feel, but you are acting off. You never just leave Alice alone like that." Hatter shook his head slowly.
"Maybe, but I think I'm fine. If I am 'playing with my emotions', I'll stop, and so should you. Besides, how could one play with something that doesn't exist physically? Also since when did you care about anyone ELSE'S emotions?" He continued on where he found Mally, and Thackery at the table. Thacker threw a large cup at Hatter, but he dogged it. Thackery laughed maniacally, but Mally noticed Hatter's weird attitude.
"Oi Hatter," She squeaked. "Why don't you have your coat on?" Hatter looked at his coat.
"Oh, I forgot to put it on." He put his coat on, and attempted to act as normal, although he had no idea why he felt so weird, or why he left Alice so quickly.

Later that day, Alice was reading one of Hatter's books on her bed, as she read the many lines of fascinating literature Cheshire suddenly appeared at the foot of the bed.
"Hello, luv." He said. "I have a question for you." Alice gave him an annoyed look.
"Look, I know I've just decided to stay, and you're clingy, but you have been with me almost all day." Alice complained.
"I'm sorry," Chess tried to sound empathetic. "I just need an answer to this one question." Alice nodded, reluctantly. "What did you say to Tarant? When he cut you by accident." Alice thought for a moment.
"I told him that it wasn't his fault, why?" Alice tilted her head.
"Did anything ELSE happen?" Chsh lifted his eyebrow.
"Well, we stood there." Alice was blunt about the fact. Cheshire nodded.
"That's all, thank you." Chshire disappeared, leaving Alice to read, with one thing in the back of her head: "What is he up to?"

"Mally, Thacker, we need to talk about something." Cheshire said showing up at the tea table. Mally looked at him up and down.
"What's with you?" She asked, seeing his posture.
"Just come." He floated to behind a tree, where the others followed. "Now... I think something is going on with Tarant." Mally nodded in agreement.
"He has been acting weird, and I think I know why."
"Yeah he has." Mally agreed.
"I think that he has a fear of Alice... in a way'" Chess continued. Mally looked at him.
"No." She said blankly. "We all know how close they are." Cheshire's ears shot up.
"No?" He had a deep tone. "What do you mean you know?" Mally sighed.
"Have you never watched them interact?" She said, annoyed. Cheshire blinked.
"What do we do?" He asked.
"NOTHING." Mally said.
"Cheshur-" Thackery began, but got pushed out of the way by Piper, who seemingly was running from someone.
"SAVE YOURSELF!" Piper ran up a tree, and clung to a branch, wrapping his tail around his waist. Suddenly Hatter ran after him.
"Oh, come now!" Hatter pleaded. "Just 5 minutes?" Piper stuck out his tongue.
"My fur is delicate! You pet my tale WAY too often! You'll make it all fall off." Hatter smiled, and squinted at Piper.
"Well then, maybe stop making your fur so soft, hmm?" Hatter mused. Piper rolled his eyes in defeat.
