Y/N HAS BEEN TOLD A COUPLE TIMES that she says really deep and meaningful things, usually when she never means to or tries. her head was constantly filled with thoughts of everything, her overthinking of her overthinking, or how she should put it. she spends most of her time thinking about every single possible future she believes she could have. surprisingly, her boyfriend, kiyoomi sakusa, was never in those thoughts for a while.
y/n grew up watching her world collapse multiple times, and slowly pieced back together just to be destroyed again. tragedy and emotional pain came in waves towards her, constantly drowning her and waiting for her to pick herself back up. during the time she started to 'fall in love' with first crush in high school, rintarou suna, the thought of the universe giving them some kind of tragedy tainted the back of her mind. the paranoia of him leaving her right when she accepted her love from him flooded her thoughts, and destroying her will to be around him.
it was easier for her to leave, before they left her.
kiyoomi sakusa could give zero shits about what the world threw at him, the only thing he hoped that didn't happen was a bug crossing his path, a stupid stain on his shirt, the feeling of dirt and sweat build up on his hands. sakusa met y/n at the university he attended, she was studying for an exam she had no knowledge of and it slightly impressed him on how focused she was. usually, y/n wouldn't be this focused, considering how she only had eighteen hours before the test, she was pouring her heart and soul into it.
sakusa sits at the other table across from her, glancing at her pulling the root of her hair with her left hand as she wrote vigorously with her right. after an hour of being in the library, sakusa gets up to put away the book he previously used for research, and trying not to stare at y/n too much as he made his way past her table. right when he put his book away, he looks back at the table she sat at. she's missing from her chair, but her books and papers are scattered everywhere, giving sakusa a cringe feeling in his soul.
"excuse me," y/n says, rushing past sakusa in a whisper. he looks down at her, watching her take quick steps back to her table and picking up the books on the table. sakusa makes his way back to his table, sitting across the table area from her and trying not to watch her clean up her mess.
y/n first collects the paper, making sure the papers are perfectly lined up and organized in numeral order with the math problems she was working on. she takes out a black folder and places it on the left, to indicate that these were solved problems. sakusa watches her place her folder back inside of her backpack and putting it on.
