Iudora looked down at her phone and saw that she was late for work.

She had a part time job since she couldn't work full time because of Lyric. Lyric went to daycare of course but only for a few hours out of the day. Sade had school and work. She didn't really have any free time.

If it wasn't lyric, school and work she was at home sleeping. She barely had any free time. The days she wasn't at school she was at work trying to make as much money as possible.

Being a single mother was hard. She didn't complain though. She wouldn't trade lyric for the world she just wish things were a bit easier for her. But life was hard. She was going to make it through.

"Lyric come on baby." She frowned looking at her daughter struggle to put her shoe on.

"Mommy i can't." She whined throwing the shoe at the wall.

"Now lyric."

Going over she picked up her daughters shoe before putting it on her and tying it.

"Tank you." She mumbled grabbing her backpack.

"Mommy auntie meme is coming to get you from daycare."

"I don't wanna go with auntie meme." She frowned, getting in the car.

"Well I don't know what to tell you because mommy has to work."

"No fair." She huffed crossing her arms across her chest.

Iyland shook her head turning up the radio driving to Lyrics day care.

Pulling in, they got out she checked her in.

"Mommy loves you bug."

"I love you too." She kissed iudoras cheek before going to play with the other kids.

"Now Iudora." Her coworker Genesis stared at her.

"What i did?"

"You know Alyssa ass gon come in here tripping seeing you on yo phone."

"I have other shit to worry about. Im tryna make sure my daughter took her asthma pump with her." She said waving her off.

"Okay girl, make sure you make that burger though. You know how these impatient ass people get."

She nodded her head before sending off the text and putting her phone in her back pocket. Putting the meat on the grill she started to reminisce.

That's was the only thing that kept her focused at work. Not really staring at anything in particular she was just looking off into space.

"Here." She gave the bag to genesis before going to the back.

She knew it was going to be a long day and she really didn't have the patience, not today at least. She was irritated because she didn't know if Lyric had her pump with her.

Normally she packed it in her backpack but knowing lyric she probably took it out. She just couldn't risk losing her job. Even though she wasn't getting paid much she just couldn't risk it.
