I'm still speechless until now. I'm just sitting quietly here inside Xanthos' car. I don't even know where he'll take me, or maybe I don't care anymore.
Kanina pa ako tahimik, ni hindi ako pumalag sa panghihila n'ya sa 'kin dito sa kotse n'ya.
"What the hell are you doing, Xanthos? Lumayo na nga ako sa 'yo gaya ng gusto mo, e. Bakit mo ba 'to ginagawa sa 'kin?" Hindi ko na napigilan ang sarili ko at nagtanong sa kanya.
Xanthos remained silent. He just tapped his fingers on the steering wheel. Napaiwas ako ng tingin do'n kasabay ng pag-iinit ng magkabilang pisngi ko.
Those darn fingers! Those long and expert fingers!
"I don't know what happened, Kiara. I don't know why I'm the one who's chasing you now. How did you make the tables turn just like that?" he asked and glanced at me. I just sighed and hissed under my breath.
"Hindi ko alam kung ano'ng trip mo sa buhay, Xanthos," sabi ko na lang at napaismid.
Natahimik na lang si Xanthos pagkatapos no'n. I just bit my lower lip and inhaled the familiar scent lingering in my nose. I can smell Xanthos' familiar manly scent. I really love the manly scent of his perfume, I love how it mixes to his natural scent. Amoy na amoy ko 'yon lalo rito sa kotse n'ya.
"Where do you want to eat?"
Natigilan ako sa tanong ni Xanthos. Napakunot ang noo ko saka nagtatakang napatingin sa kanya.
"Why do you wanna know?" I asked and raised my eyebrow.
"You said you were about to grab something to eat. Let's eat together," he said blandly.
I guess he's back to his old self again, emptionless jerk.
"No thanks, I don't want to eat with you," I said and smiled sweetly.
Why the hell is he doing this to me?
"Eat with me or I'll eat you... you choose," he muttered in a low tone.
Agad na nag-init ang mukha ko sa sinabi n'ya, naalala ko na naman tuloy ulit ang mga nangyari kahapon.
"You're hella rich business tycoon, aren't you busy?" I asked sarcastically.
"I am," he answered. I took a deep breath and faced him.
"Then why are you wasting your precious time for this bullshit?"
His intention is clear... he obviously wants to play with my feelings. Tanga na lang siya kung iisipin n'yang magpapa-uto ako sa kanya.
"I'm trying to be flirty here, Kiara."
Gusto kong matawa sa sinabi n'ya. Iyon na ba ang flirty para sa kanya? Ang hina naman pala n'ya kung gano'n.
"I don't know what you're trying to pull right now, but I don't give a fuck anymore... just take me to a private and quiet restaurant where I can eat peacefully," I said, mumbling the last sentence.
Xanthos just nodded and didn't say anything. I sighed and closed my eyes. I don't know what's happening to us right now, I can't read what he's thinking right now... I don't understand him at all!
Tumahimik na lang ako at hindi na rin nagsalita. Hinayaan ko na lang siya kung saan man n'ya ako gustong dalhin. Gusto ko na lang makakain, kanina pa 'ko hindi nakain.
Nakarating kami sa garden-like restaurant makalipas ang ilang minuto. Agad na bumaba ng kotse si Xanthos at pinagbuksan ako. Napaismid na lang ako at bumaba ng kotse saka nialgpasan siya.
The restaurant isn't bad. It's just a simple glass walled restaurant but it gives off a homey vibes. Marami kasing halaman sa paligid ng restaurant, kaunti lang din ang nakain sa loob at may side na open area.
