My Lost Love

When they reach home Siddhi starts telling them how much she enjoys it and how she doesn't want to come but she came because her Mumma didn't sleep without her. Shehnaaz laughs listening to her help her to change. After some time she helps her go sleep. When Siddhi slept she went to the balcony and sat there.

Her mind and heart are stuck. After so long she again started thinking about her past. Which was connected with him. Putting her legs on the side table she adjusts her anklets. While adjusting she remembered. These were gifted by him. This is the first and last gift from him. That's why she took care of them. And she saves those for Siddhi. It's from her father. It's the only thing from her father and she will receive in future when Shehnaaz felt so and gave her.

While laying on the chair her eyes were closed and her mind is full of thoughts. After a few moments, she finds a smell of cigarettes. Cigarette smoke makes her throat irked. She quickly checks outside and didn't find anything. She quickly went in and lock the door of the balcony and slept next to her daughter.

On the other side, Sidharth felt good when he decided to go home and meet his family. He didn't plan earlier but he did finish his work early and went towards home not we're he lives, but we're his mother live is his home.

He went home and when he reached the floor he pres the doorbell button and his attention was on somewhere else. When he reached the floor he hears the anklets sound. He turns his face towards the sound but interrupted by his sister who opens the door and teases him instantly.

Shaking his head and listening to his sisters teasing, he went in and met his mother. Everyone got so happy to saw him and meet him.

Everyone is there his sisters and there husbands and kids too. After meeting everyone, He tries to find his son, Monu. But he didn't here. His mother told him that he is playing inside with Siddhi.

He looked at his mother questioning eyes when she told him that she is there neighbours daughter and she is best friend come sister to Monu. He just nodded after hearing his mother but from inside he felt good that at least he enjoyed his childhood with having friends because before Siddhi he didn't talk much to other kids even with his cousins.

When he was busy talking with his mother and brother-in-law's he heard Monu. Monu came cheering and laughing calling his Daadi.

But he quickly went quit when he saw his father sitting next to his daadi. Rita Ji called him and ask him what he makes. He shyly gave her the drawing which he sketches with Siddhi.

Rita Ji took the sketch and praise him and Siddhi came from behind and stops when she saw unfamiliar faces. Sidharth was in shock first when he saw Siddhi, she is a cute little girl which gave him remember something.

Sindhi didn't smile and hold Monu's hand. Rita Ji introduced Siddhi to him and told her that he is Monu's dad. Sindhi said Hello shyly and whispered something in Monu's ear, they look each other and run to his room back.

Rita Ji and other laugh but Sidharth were confused then Rita Ji told him that he makes them scared. After laughing and talking he decides to look at Monu and he silently went to his room and find him playing with Sindhi and he felt good finding his son finally attached to someone nice kid.

Siddhi seems good child of her parents for him. Because he saw how she took care of him and how they play. Rita Ji saw her son gawking at his son's room she smiled and stand next to him. After a few seconds, she said,

"Siddhi is a very beautiful child, she takes care of Monu like her own brother. She is the only child of her mother,"...

"Only child of her mother?"... He asked in confusion because his mother didn't say her parents.

She nodded and said,

"Yes, her mother is a single mother, who loves her beyond anything. I think there is some conflict with her partner or her husband, she never talks about it and I don't like to ask her about her matters,".... She told him how she felt about Siddhi's mother.

He didn't ask further but somehow he felt bad and he didn't even know why?

His family had a great dinner together, his mother cooked almost everyone, he loves his mother's homemade food.

They chitchat a lot, even he did a lot of talks too. Won't be a little surprised when he saw his dad talking a lot. He felt happy to see his dad after almost a month. He came rarely home. And he didn't even scold him too. Siddhi makes him understand to not scared of his dad.

After having dinner Sidharth excuses himself and went to his room for the washroom. When he came out after a few minutes he found his mother and sister talking to someone at the door. He didn't say anything but listen to them and heard Siddhi's giggle. And then he heard his mother said good night. Then he found out it was Siddhi's mother, she came for taking Siddhi with her.

He found Monu asleep on his bed and he lay next to him when his mother came and find him with Monu. She smiled and told him that Siddhi makes him sleep while telling him a bedtime story. He smiled and. Struck his son's hair and kissed his forehead.

Everyone said bid bye already and his sisters left with their husbands and kids. Now he is alone with his mother and son.

His mother for her room and he is staying in his son's room. After an hour he felt like smoking. He can not sleep without smoking. It's become a habit a few years back. Which he had the most.

He went out on the balcony and start lit his cigarette. He knows that it's not good for his health but he can't stop smoking. Even he tried much time but it's the first and last thing that he failed into.

While smoking his 3 cigarettes he heard something, then he listens carefully. It's the same sound as anklets. He puffs his cigarette and listens to the mesmerising sound. He didn't realise that he didn't puff his cigarette because of that sound.

After a while, he heard a coughed sound then realise his cigarette and quickly crushed that cigarette without even thinking for once. And then he heard walking sound and clicking and locking the sound of the door.

Their society is not near any main air construction road. It is very silent and full of greenery. That the reason he can hear those anklets and door sound which he likes.

Without even thinking back he went back to his room and let after freshening up.  He felt nice, and don't know why? But those sound gave him some kind of relaxation.
