I'm packing my bags.
A/n: sorry I was just thinking about that.
"I am going to miss you too guys."
"We'll keep contact. Promised."
"Promised."
George walked away with a bellyache. He just said goodbye to his friend which he had been friends with for 6 years.
George can still remember when they first met in 8th grade.
His friend, Harvey, he dropped his apple in the cafeteria. George slipped on it.
They could luckily both laugh about it.
The fact that he wasn't going to see, or at least not for a really long time, his friend in real life made him sick.
He knew that when he moved to Florida he was going to get new friends and see Dream, but he still didn't like the feeling of saying goodbye to Harvey.
We are going to keep contact....
We really are.
George put his keys in the contact of his car when his phone pings. It was Dream.
'Hey Georgie, how was your last school day?'
George sat in his car trying to describe how his last day of high school went.
It was special. That was sure.
It was sad but also really happy because he would be free from this school. I would be able to spend so much time with my best friend.
'It was okay I guess. Kinda sad but I'm also really excited to see you. Finally.'
'Yes. Same Georgie. When are you coming here?'
'Sunday.'
'Sunday? That's so quick!'
'I know. But I really want to come to America. It seems great.'
'It is great. Your parents aren't coming right?'
'No they aren't. My entire house is for myself!'
'And for me of course.' George could almost hear Dream smirk thru his phone.
'Yes and you. But hey. I don't know if you have anything to do on Sunday but maybe you could pick me up at the airport.'
'Yea sure I could do that. How late does your plane land?'
'4pm. Hall 2'
'Okay Georgie I will be there <3'
'Thank you Dream :)'
George let out a sigh and put his head on the steering wheel.
He had to go home and pack his stuff now.
He wasn't really looking forward to it but he had to. His parents would return his schoolbooks on Wednesday when George was already Florida.
-
"Hey George.
I put two big suitcases in your room. Your dad and I put out some extra money so you could have some extra luggage.
There's also a smaller one for hand bagage.
I spoke to the previous owners of the house and they will leave some duvet covers and other bed sheets. You only have to take your clothes and electronica with you."
"Thank you mom." George was smiling.
-
George was halfway done with the packing. He would do the rest of the packing on Sunday just before leaving. He still needs his pyjama and laptop.
"Hey mom! What is this."
His mom was coming upstairs.
"That's a box with pictures. Here," she grabs a sneller box from the box, "these are from your childhood."
"Wow, you kept all this? Awesome."
"Yes look. You were really cute," they look at each other, "you are still really cute. My little boy."
"I love you mom."
"I love you to George."
Georges mom puts here arms out and pulls George into a hug.
"I'm going to miss you."
"I am going to miss you and dad too."
-
-It was Sunday.
-11 am.
George just woke up.
He had to pack the last things before leaving to Florida.
He would have to leave in 3 hours. The last 3 hours with his cat, the last 3 hours in his room where he grew up in and the last 3 hours of being with his mom and dad. It was time to move out. Time to grow up and move on.....
It was a 1 hour ride to the airport and his plane would start boarding at 3:30 and leave at 4pm. It was a flight of 5 hours.
(Hey idk how long the flight would actually be but this was the easiest thing to do)
George quickly puts his pyjama pants, toothbrush and his stuffed animal in his bag.
His laptop had to go into his hand baggage in order to get through the airport security.
-
George was eating his breakfast.
He wasn't really hungry but he had to eat because the food on the planes is always very expensive.
When he finishes his breakfast he decides to do the dishes so his parents wouldn't have to do it.
George put his plate down and opens the tap of the warm water.
He opens the cabinet. It squeaks.
George's cold fingers grab the soap bottle as his mom comes in.
"Oh sweety, you don't have to do that. You have to leave in 10 minutes."
"Thank you mom, I am going to miss you. Really bad."
"I am going to miss you to. But you have to. My little boy is growing up so fast."
Oh come on mom, I don't want to cry
George let's out a tear and hugs his mom.
His dad? He was never really in George's life. He worked a lot and when he came home he always laced on the couch to drink alcohol. Especially since 9th grade, when George told him he was gay he didn't really want any contact with him anymore but they still lived together.
"I am sure your dad will miss you too. He maybe won't show it but you're still his son."
"It's okay mom. Just tell him I'm sorry, for everything."
"I love you George."
"I love you to, mom."
"Now, go say to Cat. They will miss you too."
George hops over to Cat. They were laying in their bed on the windowsill.
"Hey furrball, I will miss you."
George lays his head onto Cat.
Cat purrs and looks at George.
They had no idea what George was going to do but they still wanted cuddles. They always want cuddles.
"George it's time. I'll drive you to the airport."
"Thanks mom."
"No problem. Now, get your suitcases."
"Okay." George walks up to his room.
Wow, he was going to miss this room.
Endless playing Minecraft with his friends, his first kiss. Basically just growing up here.
All the memories start flowing back in.
He needed to go.
He was going to a good university.
He was going to see his best friend.
He was going to be an adult.
Finally completely growing up. Living on himself. Moving on.
Dang, I'm going to miss this place.
