It wasn't supposed to feel like this when you talked to your best friend, George was sure of that.
Your best friend isn't supposed to make your heart race and your face red. You shouldn't be dreaming of walking in the park, holding your best friend's hand and staring into each other's eyes.
A simple text shouldn't make you flustered and a mention of another friend shouldn't make you jealous.
And yet George felt all of those things, and more.
He loved the way Sapnap chuckled; it made his heart flutter. He loved the way Sapnap teased him; it made him feel special.
He loved the way you could always hear the smile in Sapnap's voice, the way Sapnap never failed to make him laugh, the way Sapnap could comfort him when he was sad.
He loved the way he was, and he couldn't stop himself from feeling it.
He couldn't stop himself from loving Sapnap, from blushing whenever he teased him, from choking on his words when Sapnap said something weird again, from smiling stupidly when he saw that Sapnap had texted him.
He loved Sapnap so, so much. And Sapnap would never know.
Well....
-
"Look who's decided to craw out of his cave," Dream looked up as he heard George coming down the stairs.
"Shut up," George said crancky, poofing down on the couch, next to Sapnap wile Dream sat on the big chair across the room.
"It's already 10pm Gogy, did you sleep well? How is your head doing, still partying?"
"oh shut up Sapnap."
"Hey, be thankful, I laid you down in bed."
"I know, i was awake," George was blushing harder than he ever did before, George woke up because Sapnap wasn't that gentle laying him down in bed, causing him to wake up. He felt Sapnap kissing him, even though he didn't want to tell Sapnap about the fact that he was awake, this was the perfect time. Sapnap couldn't comment on it or on George's tomato head because Dream was there. Dream wasn't the type of guy you would want around when he finds out his best friend kissed his crush.
Back to the awkward silence it is...
"It's 10 pm, want to
watch a movie?" Dream proposed.
"Sure, as long as it's not some weird romantic movie," George answered.
"Horror then?" Sapnap smirks.
"Not horror either," George sighed, "you know I get scared easily."
"But you know Sapnap and I LOVE horror. I think you might have to sacrifice yourself."
"I'll just grab a blanket but just know that I probably won't remember the movie afterwards because I'll probably will be crying in a corner with my fluffy blanket."
"Sure Gogy, whatever you want. Just know I'll be over here if you want to cuddle," Sapnap offered to George who was now walking towards the kitchen to make some popcorn.
"No thanks," And tomato head was back
-
"I HAVE SWEET AND SALT!" George yelled trough the house as he walked back to the living rooms with 2 bowls of popcorn.
The two other boys settled on watching the conjuring.
"Here George, have your fluffy blanket."
"Well thank you Sapnap."
George took the blanket and sat on the other side of the couch. Next to Sapnap but not touching while Dream sat on the big chair across the room.
-
The movie was almost halfway done when they finished the popcorn.
George had been hiding under his fluffy blanket the whole time while Dream and Sapnap were watching the movie without getting scared even once.
"Do you guys want any more popcorn, I could make some before heading off to bed," Dream offered while standing up, taking the empty popcorn bowls.
"No thanks Clay, I'm good," Sapnap answered quickly.
"And you, pillow boy?"
No reply was heard from the older boy.
