A new president

It wasn't a very sunny day. More like a really sad, grey day.
It had been raining all night. Still small puddles on the streets.
Street lanterns lighting the streets as it was morning, well, more like night.

6 am.
Not a great time but waking up this early with a good night rest could be really nice. You could do a lot of stuff. If the weather wasn't this depressing.....

But today was special, important, a change in history.

The town may be small but it was strong.
Strong enough to win wars.
They weren't very liked by everyone but there sure where people that loved the town.
If a town could have a fan group they would have the biggest one.

It was time.
The president was done.
He couldn't do this anymore.
Not like this.
No one would listen to him.

The president turned the town democratic.

A election.
New president?

A simple election would do. End his career.
He didn't want to do this if no one even cared.
No one cared what he had to say.

It would be so much easier to just end it all
End my career, friendships and loyalty

It could never be restored.
Once the power was gone,

it would be gone forever.

Or so he thought...

One powerful man was about to become a less powerful man.

The election of 2020.

It could change everything. What would the new president do? What even could he do?

The prime bell rang. There was no going back now.
Every party started their speech.
The election went on clean without too much of fights and arguments.
Respect the other if you want to be respected
Gain trust

"Thank you, everyone.
We'll go and count the votes.
It's very important to stay calm and respectful to the other candidates." A nice lady said.

"I really don't want to end this, Tommy." The, now still, president lied to the Vice President.
"Agreed. POG2020 should win. POG2020 will win." The younger male said.

The thought made the president sick.
What if we really win?
I would have to cause a war. Make sure we lose

10 tense full minutes pass when theres, once again, a voice shouting.

"Lady's and gentlemen.
The votes are counted.

45% for POG2020
30% for SWAG2020
16% for Schlatt2020
9% for Coconut2020

I would love to congratulate President Wilbur Soot and his Vice President 'Tommyinnit' with the victory.
Have you guys prepared a speech?" The nice lady was looking at Wilbur and Tommy waiting for a response

Wilbur took a deep a deep breath trying not to faint or have a panic attack.
"Hey, it's okay. Want me to go?" Tommy asked seeing that Wilbur was a bit tensed up.
"No it's all good. I will go."
Wilbur stood up, Tommy smiling at him.

As he walked the, what seemed like a kilometers long, path tears burned in the corners of his eyes.

He bit his lip as he pushed the tears back. Ready to speak.

"I would like to thank everyone fo-"
"STOP!" Wilbur was loudly interrupted by someone screaming from the audience. "Schlatt?," The man that was standing up, calling for Schlatt, was Quackity, a nominee of this election. Him and his friend Ponk were a part of SWAG2020.

Schlatt stood up. "Quackity, Ponk and I have made a deal."

"Is that true mr. Quackity and mr. Ponk?" The nice lady asked.
"It is." Ponk said.
"Then what's the deal?"
Ponk and Schlatt made eye contact. "no matter how many votes either party got, SWAG2020 would pool their votes with Schlatt2020." Quackity said looking at the nice lady.
Schlatt nodded.

The lady looked at the council.
They were counting the votes.

This made Schlatt standing with 46% of the votes in total; 1% more than POG2020 that held 45% of the votes; officially making Schlatt the president of L'Manberg.

Wilbur sighted in relieve.
He could not stop smiling. Good thing everyone was focused on Schlatt and not him.

"I am so sorry mr. Soot but I have to announce mr. Schlatt as the new president of L'manberg." The lady looked at Wilbur nervously.
"It's okay." Wilbur answered getting of stage as soon as possible.

Tommy was shaking. Tears running down his cheeks.

Schlatt entered the stage.
"That was pretty easy. And you know what I said, the day I got unbanned from the DreamSMP, and the day I said I was running... an election that I won by the way?
I said things are gonna change.
I looked every citizen of L'Manberg in the eyes and I said; "You listen to me... this place will be a lot different tomorrow."
Let's start making it happen.
My first decree, as the president of L'Manberg- the EMPEROR! of this great country-! Is to REVOKE the citizenship of WilburSoot, and TommyInnit! Get 'em outta here!
Get 'em outta here! You're no longer welcome!"

Schlatt's first course of action was declaring himself as emperor of L'Manberg and exiling Wilbur and Tommy from Manberg, causing the pair to break off and run away into the forest.

Tubbo was called upon to be the one to find and kill the both of them, then promoting Tubbo to be his own right man hand, a position which Tubbo didn't have much of a choice but to accept.

Having exiled Tommy and Wilbur, Schlatt declared that L'Manberg's walls must be torn down, and he forced all citizens to do it.

Then he took the the 'L' out of L'Manberg, making it just Manberg and stating that
'It would no longer take any L's'

He also ordered a new flag built and Fundy burned the old one.

"Oh, it was so easy! Until further notice... WilburSoot and TommyInnit are merely a memory of L'Manberg. A relic- A relic of the past. A reminder, of the darkest era this country has ever seen- and I guarantee you all; dear citizens... Tonight, that changes. We are entering into a new period of L'Manberg- a period, of prosperity! of strength! of unity."

And oi, this took me a while to write.
I choose to not add the voting fraud. I didn't forget it lol.
I also replaced George with Ponk because George is with Dream so he couldn't be here. (It will make sense later in the story.)
And of course it's not exactly what happened but yea. Kinda.
Had to do a lot of research because the first lore stream I saw was on my birthday, November 16th.
