Dex- Dead

5 0 1

When I last saw her,

she looked at me,

with big eyes,

like, Dex, we've been through so much.

It can't end like this.

As she was dragged down,

I heard people screaming,

but I didn't.

I was too sad to cry out,

tell her to come up,

because she wasn't going to.

I tried to save her,

but I couldn't make it.

Sophie was gone.

Later,

when I was at home,

it started to hit me;

dead,

           Sophie's dead,

                                        dead.

My sleep was disturbed.

All I could see was the look in Sophie's eyes,

the one that said "Save me",

over and over,

almost like it was on repeat.

I survived,

but the guilt of not helping Sophie,

would haunt me.
