It didn't take much time for them to arrived at the school. They barely missed the gate but somehow they got in on time. Kido and Kano didn't in the same class so when they changed their shoes, that parted their way. Kido was in 1-1 and Kano in 1-3. Kano hoped that she or Kido were in the same class badly, but they couldn't.

Even when it was morning, Kano got into a trouble. There were some girl who liked Kido and they didn't want Kano to be with him. They warned her with a punch on her belly. Kano knelt down and held her bag.

"Don't you dare to go with Kido. Ever." One of the girl said before they left her. Kano coughed and groaned. "... It's not like I want to go with him..." She said shakily as she tried not to cry. 'It hurt so much... I can't held it any longer...' She though of herself while she tried to get up.

.

Kido looked at Kano with one of his eyebrow lifted up. She looked a bit pale and quiet even when it's the break time and they were in the cafeteria.

Kido didn't know if Kano always get bullied all the day. Some people called her to a place and they started to beat her, intimidating her like those girls in the morning. Some other people called her bitch and slut, and told her to go and die. She endured all of it and kept it. Sometime ago, Kido almost found out her secret but she hid them.

When there's a PE, she always changed her clothes lastly. Because if she changed along with her friends, they would know her scars, her wounds, her beaten body.

Kano sighed and sipped her milk. 'What should I do? If I continued this I can end up beaten and left alone, half dead.'

"... No..."

Kano looked aside and frowned a bit. 'Those girls aren't my size.'

".. Kano.."

Kano bit her lips. 'They can call for a gangster or even crazy people to... To...!'

"Oi, Kano!"

Kano blinked and looked at Kido. She should thanked him later for saving her from thinking about her worst case scenario. Kido looked at her with his worry face. "What's gotten into you?" He asked. Kano faked a smile and shook her head. "Nothing's gotten into me~. I'm totally fine!"

Kido frowned a bit. He knew something was wrong but whenever he wanted to know the truth or he searched the truth, Kano didn't let him. She always covered it all and shoulder all the burden by herself.

He knew it but at a point, he didn't know a thing. He knew he should help her but he didn't know how. He knew he has to do something but he didn't know what. He couldn't make a wrong step or else the two of them will got in problem.

Kido suddenly stole Kano's yakisoba bread. Kano got up and stretched her arm, trying to reach and get back her yakisoba bread. "Hey! Gimme that back! That's my one and only limited edition yakisoba bread!" She yelled a bit. Kido put his free arms on her face. "Good then, because I'm hungry and I want to eat something like this." He said easily.

"That's unfair! Not you too!" She said. Before she realized her mistake, Kido raise one of his eyebrows. "Not me too? What do you mean?" He asked, finally got a free ticket to the truth. Kano eyes widened.

"Just gimme that back! You know I've spent my time just for that!" She tried again to reach it but Kido pushed her. He got up and walked to his class. He didn't know what to do next.

When he still thinking about his strategic, he didn't realise if he walked to the library, not to his class. Kano, who followed him all the time, stopped in front of the library.

Kido stopped walking and walked back a few steps. "I know what you're thinking." He said. Kano looked at him and tilted her head a bit. "Eh?"

"This is where I met you, no, found you for the first time." He said without looking at her. Kano looked down and blushed a bit. "Well... You found me sleeping back then. I still remember the book you wanted to borrow, which I used it to be my emergency pillow." She chuckled a bit. Kido looked at her.

"Rain." He said. Kano smiled a bit. "Yeah. That thick and a bit boring novel... I still didn't know why do you like it that much."

"You've read it right?" Kido asked, Kano nodded. "A story where there's a boy who like to messing around and a cold but kindhearted girl. The boy lived in the village but the girl lived in the middle of a forest. Both of them are orphans, so they lived alone. The girls was all alone because she lived in the middle of a forest. Even when the boy lived in the village, nobody cared of him. Nobody listened him. Nobody wanted him." She said, Kido looked away.

"On a rainy day, when the boy went for a hunt, he met the girl, who was searching for herbs to eat. The boy never knew if there's someone like her, who had a similar life. In no time, they understood each other. The boy started to visit the girl everytime he had time, and the girl went to the village wherever she need accompany or stuffs for herself.' Kido continued.

"And soon, both of them grew interest." Both of them said. Kido and Kano stared each other before they looked away. "But the boy annoyed the girl a lot. I really don't know how the girl could stand him." Kano chuckled.

"And I couldn't believe in the way the boy faced the girl's stubbornness." He smiled a bit. Kano chuckled a bit. "The girl's too scared to realize her feelings~." Kano chuckled.

"And the boy's too idiot to realize his own feelings." Kido spitted. Kano grew impatient, and they were arguing a long and endless argument.

But not after that long, they stopped. Both of them panted. "I want your opinion, Kano." Kido said. Kano looked at him. "What now?"

"If you be the boy, with all of his stupidity, deceiving ability, and those fake emotions..." Kano looked at him curiously. Kido looked her back with his serious gaze. "Then... Is honest a problem?" He asked.

That's when Kano realized. It's not like he asked her to imagining her being that boy because the boy is her. She is the boy, or similar. His way of messing around, telling lies, it's so similar to hers.

Kano smiled a little and looked at him.

"I think he's to scared to face the reality. That's all."

'And so do I.'
