An Arranged Marriage (Armin x FEM!Reader)

Chapter 3: Common Interests

I started to hangout with Armin during the weekends. Every night when I went to bed, all I could think about was him. The guy I fell for, Armin Arlert.

Armin, Mikasa, and I made flower crowns for each other when we picked flowers. It was always so much fun. Weaving the flowers together and putting it onto each of our heads when we were finished.

Armin asked if I wanted to hangout with him, Eren, and Mikasa at the mall.

"Sure, I'd love to go with you guys," I say with a smile on my face.

I get into Armin's car and Eren is sitting in the passenger's seat while Mikasa and I are sitting in the backseats. Armin turned on the engine to his car, pulled out of his parking spot and drove to the mall.

Once Armin found a parking spot at the mall, we all got out and walked inside together.

"Mikasa wants to go to Hot Topic so we're gonna go there together. You two can do whatever you want. We'll meet back here in 2 hours, sound good?" Eren says to the two of us.

"Sure, that's fine. We'll just go and get something to eat then walk around maybe," Armin replies back. Once Eren and Mikasa left to go to Hot Topic, Armin and I started to walk to the Food Court. We walked up to Wendy's and waited in line to order.

"Hello, what would you like to order?" the cashier lady said when it was our turn.

"Hello, I'd like to order (f/f). Armin, what would you like?"

"Um... I'd like to have chicken strips with fries, please," he said, slightly embarrassed he ordered such a kid's meal.

I pay for our food and we go to the waiting station for food and drinks. I heard our number order being called so I went to go get the food and drinks. I thanked the lady, Me and Armin then went to find a table to eat. We finally found a table for two and sat down to eat.

"The chicken strips and fries for you, Armin," I say to him while he sits down.

"T-Thank you," he says in a shy tone. I guess the way I announced it outloud kind of embarrassed him, I thought to myself.

"Sorry for saying that outloud." I whispered to Armin.

"No, it's fine."

We started to eat our food and it was silent at the table. I could hear everyone around me, but all I really cared about was hearing his voice.

"So, do you want to go shopping anywhere?" Armin's voice finally spoke.

"I mean, I kind of want to get some video games and manga" I reply to his question.

"You read manga?! I do too! I've always loved the romance and action genre."

"Oh, my favourite one ever is Attack on Titan."

"Really? That's my second favourite. My first favourite is The Promised Neverland. My favourite romance is Fruits Basket though."

"My favourite romance is Your Lie in April. As much of how sad of a story it is, it just really touched me in a way. Anyways, how about we go to the bookstore to get some manga?"

"Sure, I don't mind. Plus, I need to get some volumes to read. I finished all the ones I got 2 weeks ago," he replies back to me.

We go to the garbage bin to throw out the trash on the tray. Placing the tray on top of the garbage bin, and walking off to where the bookstore is, together. We walked up to the bookstore, Indigo. We both walked into the manga section. I was looking for Attack on Titan volume 32, since it was the newest volume. Armin told me he was looking for volume 18 of The Promised Neverland and volume 9 of Fruits Basket.

We both finally found the manga we were looking for after 15 minutes of going over each shelf over and over to see if they had what we were looking for. We walked over to checkout together and he let me go pay first. After I was finished paying, he went up to the register while I waited near the door. As we walked out of the store, I saw Armin checking the time.

"Shit, It's already been two hours." He says with a slightly shocked look, "They must be waiting for us. Let's go before we make them wait any longer."

We walked to the entrance where we walked into the mall. We saw Eren and Mikasa standing at the door waiting for us to come.

"Sorry for making you wait, Eren. We got caught up looking at manga in the bookstore," Armin says with a laugh slipping out of his mouth. I always liked hearing his laugh. It made me calm and knowing that he had a good time with me made me happy.

"Nah, don't worry man, we were only waiting for about 5 minutes anyways. Let's go, I wanna go play video games and maybe cuddle with my Mikasa," Eren says with a wink to his girlfriend.

"Okay, let's go Y/N," Armin says with a big cheerful smile on his face.

It was now 2 months since I started to hangout with Armin and his friends. Armin, Historia, Ymir, Eren, Mikasa, and I have now become just one big family of friends. I started to notice that my feelings for Armin started to grow.

Whenever I see him, a sudden heat of blush starts to rise up my face. My happiest moments are always when I was hanging out with Armin.

I got a text from Armin during class asking would you want to go to Starlight Cafe after classes? Just the two of us.

I reply with Okay, I'll see you after school then. Trying my best not to get caught on my phone.

It was now after classes and we decided we would meet at the cafe. Once I got there, Armin was standing near the door waiting for me to come.

He saw me and waved a nice "Hi" to me.

He held the door for me and I thanked him after he walked in after me. We walked up to the counter, and ordered our food but as I was about to pay for my food, Armin stopped me then said,

"Hey, let me pay for your food. You always pay for me, let me pay for you this time." He smiles and I accept his payment and he pays for our food.

We found a table and sat down together, waiting for our names to be called out for our orders. We started to talk about our majors and while I was talking about what I was doing in art, I heard a,

"Order for Armin. Order for Armin," the barista calling out.

"I'll go get the drinks for us, Armin," I say getting up from my chair. I thanked the barista and walked back to the table.

"Thank you for getting my drink, Y/N," Armin said, a slight blush forming on my face.

"No problem, it isn't a big deal anyways."

It was a bit silent, except for the sipping of each other's drinks. It looked like Armin wanted to say something, he kept opening his mouth but nothing came out.

"Armin, if you need to say something to me or get something off your chest, I'm here to help you with it." I say, grabbing his hands to reassure him that I always have his back no matter what.

"Okay well... I've been wanting to tell you this ever since we became friends, but I just didn't want to ruin our friendship."

"It's okay, nothing will ruin our friendship at this point," I say laughing after what I said.

"I like you... and I have since I've seen you walk past me in the hallways. You always looked pretty whenever I saw you. I've always wanted to be friends, maybe even more, since I first saw you," a slight blush started to show on his face from how much he was embarrassed saying all these things to me.

Some blush was showing on my face too. Does he really mean this?

"What I'm trying to say is, will you go on a date with me?"
