As we let go of each other, we turn around and walk back I speed ahead a little- but he grabs my hand and pulls me into him again "One last hug" he says softly, planting a kiss on my forehead "Before they say something, them over there" I reach up and kiss him one last time. When I get back to the table I sit between Newt and Mihno, they both raise their eyebrows and I just laugh, Mihnos eyes squinted "Did you, and him, kiss?" Chucks cute little eyes widden and his jaw drops "Well? Did you?" I tap the side of my nose "For me to know, and for you to never find out."

The split second it takes for me to realise what Chuck is about to do, it's almost too late. I jump across the table and shove my hand against his mouth all the sound the could make was "Ivy did-", by then I cut him off but I could still hear the rest of sentence "what, you kissed him!" By now everyone was looking at us, I gave a half laugh and dropped my hand.

Gally on the end of a table near by locked his eyes on mine and cocked his head, I gave a smile and a shrug before turning back to the table. Everyone is laughing, so I get up from the table and storm off not looking back. According to Alby I have perminant residence at the medjacks- in one of the rooms that can lock. So I run there knowing that I can get some privacy. As I'm locking the door behind me, a voice seeps through the wood. I instantly open the door to let him in, the second he is he wraps his arms around my small body, and suddenly I feel happy again. "You can work with us again tomorrow" he whispers.

Laughing I say "You seriously want me back as a builder tomorrow, doubt Newt will let me".

"He will, I'll make sure of it."

---

Sure enough, I wake up to Gally smiling in the door frame. My own mouth moulds into a smile and I just out of bed quickly to get on with the day.

---

Gally put me to work on something a little simpler, chopping the branches into logs for a fire that night. As I can be quite an angry person sometimes I enjoyed the rush of breaking something.

From far away I hear clanging and smashing most likely Frypan dropping stuff in the kitchen. But I still turn to look, as I turn my arms still swing the axe down, as I realsie what's happening I let it go. But that doesn't stop the butt of the axe beating down on my foot. As the heavy weight drops on my foot I scream out in pain. Larry- a tall skinny bloke, who is part of the builders- comes rushing over with Gally hot on his heels. When the two reach me I manage to spit out a few words "Gally, building really isn't my thing!" We both laugh but he picks me up like I'm his bride and my eyes are streaming with tears.

---

After being bandaged up I fall asleep with Gally next me, I'm squeezing his hand due to the pain but he never left my sight. Again I wake up to snoring but this time it isn't as far away, rather than from across the room it's right next to me propped against the bed frame. Newt comes in and hands me some crutches made by Larry over night, I pick myself up out of bed and start walking around the room getting used to the sticks holding my weight.

"We didn't have enough logs for the fire yesterday so it will be tonight instead" Newt informs me. "Okay, thanks Newt". Before he closes the door he shouts out for me to wake Gally before lunch is served to everyone, getting the hint that breakfast was missed I pick up my crutch and prod Gally over and over with it till he wakes up. I show off my new crutches and he guides me to the dinning area where we get sandwiches filled with ham and lettuce and cucumber.

Gally asked if I wanted to hang around near where he and Larry were working that day, I agreed to this idea and we made our way slowly to the area where the fire for tonight was to be built.

As we made our way to the fire site, we came across a slippery, muddy area. Gallys foot fell from under his stocky body, as he fell I went to grab his hand but he ended up pulling me down with him. On the way down my crutch somehow collided with his face. I looked up and saw a little blood trickling down the side of his head. I hold his face still as I try wiping some blood away with my thumb, my eyes catch his gaze and my hands move to cradle his face. I lean in and close my eyes, as our lips meet my stomach flips and my heart flutters. We move in sync stopping only for air.

Shouting and wolf whistles surround us and our eyes shoot open. We quickly get up and turn back to the medjacks, to get Gally cleaned up and so I can lock myself away from the embarrassment.
