Chapter 7.

I sit alone at breakfast, as Newt was sitting with the others and I was not ready to face him after antagonising Gally. After two apples, a slice of bread with jam and a cup of water I stand up and head toward the builders hut- I guess now this is my job since no one has said anything to me about another.

Larry set me to work on chopping wood and made sure I had the lightest axe. He also hid me away so that I had no distractions.

A creek sounds from behind me, so I assume it was Larry looking in on me. But then a hand is wrapping round my waist and another sliding the axe out of my hands. Soft lips are riding up from my collar bone to my neck, then up to my ear.

"Like I promised, I'm back" he whispered. Laughing, I flip myself around and gladly take his lips in mine, his warmth was so inviting and we couldn't stop. His hands move slightly to my hips and my small hands find their way in his soft hair.

-Good thing I was hidden away because nobody would be too happy to see this.-

Gally picks me up like I'm weightless and sits me on a counter, made only yesterday that hadn't yet been given a proper home. His hands resting on my thighs.

After we finished, I cradle his soft face "I love you".

"What!" I hear a young voice shout from the door. Peering over Gally shoulders I see Chuck, jaw hanging open and eyes wide. I step down slowly from the bench and catch his arm in my hands before he runs off. "You be quiet yea?" I utter. "Please" I beg almost silently. He laughs and wraps his arms tightly around my waist, "I'm not stupid ya know, I was leaving you guys to do what you were doing, not run and tell!"

I sigh heavily with relief. I lightly shove Chuck out of the door and shut it behind him. I see Gally standing there laughing to himself, "You looked utterly terrified". I nod enthusiastically and laugh along with him. We walk out together hand in hand, fingers entwined in each others.
