C9: First Night

"Well then here we are", said Ten.

"You've got to be kidding me", I said. What they showed me was a Storage Closet.

"Sorry", said Johnny. "All the other rooms are occupied."

"Still, I'd rather sleep on the couch."

"Well, we wanted to give you some privacy"

"Are you sure this isn't the only room I can stay in?", I asked.

"Well there is one room that's available now but not for that long", said Ten.

"What do you mean?"

"Just follow us", said Johnny.

They led me to a room that looked empty but still was furnished. "Now this is more like it", I said.

"This is Kun's room. He's the leader of the subunit WayV. Since he's out now, and probably wouldn't mind, you can stay here until he comes back." I decided to stay in this room and started to take in the environment. The room was beige and dull. All the walls were identical to each other except for one little stain in a corner. The bed was nice and the sheets were neatly made. The only other piece of furniture in the room was a desk with a lamp on top and a mini-fridge beside it. I decided to look around the area and found some nice stationery. I sat down at the chair and took a pen from the holder to start writing. It was the only thing I did in life that actually made me feel heard. When I finished I went downstairs and I Taeyong at the sink doing dishes.

"Hey, how's it going so far?", he asked.

"Alright"

There was an awkward moment of silence afterward. I wanted to ask him the one question on my mind, but he beat me to it.

" you want to ask how you're connected to our gang problems?"

"How'd you know?"

He finished with the last plate, dried his hands, and leaned back on the counter. "Well, if I was in your shoes I would want to know"

"Oh", I said. "We'll then do you know the answer?"

"Honestly no", he said while scratching his head. "We've had this problem with these people before, but it never involved you. When we heard there was a hostage situation with you earlier I thought it was because you were there with Johnny, but I think it's deeper than that"

Worry must have been present on my face, so Taeyong came over and gave me a hug. " we are all working on it though and we're going to find out what's happening. Okay?"

I looked up and gave him a smile.

He smiled back and ruffled my hair. "Here I'll help you get the water running in the bathroom and get you some towels."

As we walked up the stairs, I still couldn't help but worry about my current situation. Why did I have to get myself in this?
