C13: What Should I Do?

"Hey hyung, we completed the mission", said Mark.

Taeyong was in the kitchen grabbing something from the oven and Doyoung was in there as well cooking some ramen. "That's great to hear. Me and Doyoung made some cookies. Grab as many as you want"

We started eating and let me tell you, it was delicious. I saw Jeno get up and move towards Taeyong.

"Hyung can we talk?"

"Sure"

They both left and around the time my stomach was satisfied with the portion I gave it, they both came back. "Maggie, can I have a word with you?"

"Uh, sure" I followed him down the hallway and it looked like we were going somewhere I didn't know about. Turns out, our destination was his office. Oh God, I'm screwed.

"I wanted to talk about the mission. Jeno said you were panicking"

"Yeah. I'm sorry it won't happen again"

"Huh? Why are you saying sorry? I wanted to just know if you were ok. We take mental health seriously here."

"Oh, well then I'm good now"

"I just want to say I'm sorry. If you didn't want to do the mission, you could have just said so"

"But I did want to. I should be apologizing. I thought I could handle it but I guess I couldn't."

"I know how much you want to help us help you but at the end of the day you are still at risk. We can have you help at the base instead"

"I'm not sure. I'm not that good with computers"

"Its more safe, and I don't have to worry about you as much. I'll give you some time to think about it. In the meantime, you won't go on missions with us until you are ready"

"Ok" I wished I could have contributed better and not be a burden to them. But I also have to remember that I can't bring them down on missions. It would be better if I worked at the base. I started to walk out the door, but my left ankle betrayed me. I fell and felt it pulsing up and down.

"Maggie!"
