C21: Too Many Challenges

It was tiring, and it was finally day seven out of seven. Let me tell you how much happened. So in total, there had been over 50 tests, 5 people withdrawing, 1 eliminated, and 1 injured. Doyoung, Hendery, Shotaro, Chenle, and Jisung all withdrew since they were at the bottom and didn't feel like being the boss. Now this is where things get funny. Mark made a practice mission to whoever wanted the points. It involved going through a series of obstacles where if you messed up, you would have to go back to the start. At the end was Haechan and Renjun. The final obstacle was to go through a floor filled with legos. Renjun decided to push haechan and walk across him. Due to Haechan dealing with pain after Renjun used Haechan as a human bridge, Haechan didn't want to continue and Renjunwas disqualified. I wasn't doing bad nor good. I was directly in the middle. Johnny was in the lead, followed by Xiaojun. They both started to fight more often and both started to brag to the others as well how they were going to win. I was chilling on the couch and Sungchan decided to sit next to me.

"Hey deer. How are you?"

"Terrible. I'm in dead last with only five points"

"Well, at least you don't have zero"

"Wrong. Jungwoo felt pity for me and decided to play uno with me for some points. I could have gotten 10 points if I didn't lose the other 12 rounds"

"Hahaha! I'm sorry I shouldn't be laughing but that's just hilarious! You lost 12 times!?"

"Well I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. Yangyang said at 5, he's going to bid his points"

"Smart guy"

"Yup. In the meantime, since you're a bully, I'm going to the training room."

"Adios then" After watching some anime, I went upstairs and barged into Jaemin and Jeno's room(Don't worry, it's a usual thing). "Heyyyyyy"

"Wasssup", Jaemin said. "We were just talking about sanrio"

"Well let me join in. I like Keroppi and Pompompurin."

"I love pompompurin", said Jeno.

"And I like Mymelody. She's a queen", said Jaemin.

"But can we all agree that Chococat deserves more love?"

"YESSSSSS"

After talking for some time, and doing a pillow fight, the power suddenly turned off. "What the heck", I said. "Did Doyoung forget to pay the power bill or something", I said.

"No, he would never", said Jeno. "let's go see" As we walked out, stumbling along the way since it was really hard to see, we heard the front door slam open. We all in unison crouched down. I took a can of cola from the room, crawled out into the hallway, and threw it over the banister. As soon as the xan hit the floor gunshots fired.

"It's intruders"

We all separated to go into the rooms. We managed to get Kun, Winwin, and Yuta. We were all in the bathroom with the door slightly open so we could hear what was going on.

"Alright, here's the plan", said Kun. "Taeyong told me he'll be out to get groceries and he should be arriving any time soon. I'll contact him and tell him what's happened and what our status is. If the others know what's going on, they'll know what to do so we shouldn't worry too much. For now, we'll stay here. Got it?" We all nodded.

"WinWin, go check what they're doing" WinWin went out and in a few short seconds he returned. "I've noticed that there's 10 of them and three of them are headed to the training room."

"Uh oh." I said

"Uh oh what?", said WinWin.

"Sungchan is in there and I think he's alone"

"Oh no, he's never actually been put in front of enemies before", said Yuta. "We need him out of there"

My mind was filled with so many different thoughts. I looked around at the members. Kun could go since he is the most mature here, but he had to keep in touch with Taeyong. I don't know how strong WinWin, Jaemin, or Yuta is since they're not a part the combat group, and judging by Jeno's worried look he might not want to 5ake action.

"I'll go"

"Maggie no", said Jaemin, "It's too dangerous"

"Well, someone's gotta do something. And besides, Haha. I made an oath to protect this family and I'm going to stick to it"

I got out of the bathroom and checked downstairs through the balcony. After the coast was clear, I slid down the banister and rolled behind the kitchen counter. Surprised, I saw Haechan there. He whispered to me, "What are you doing?"

"I'll be back" Haechan snickered.

"Hyuck, this is s life or death situation, what are you laughing at?!"

"Oh come on. I'll be back? Get it, terminater?" I stared at him seriously.

"Whatever. Don't die ok?"

I ran to the hallway and looked through the window of the training room door. I saw two walking around and managed to spot sungchan in a corner. Without hesitation, I turned around and kicked the guy behind me in the shin. I caught the attention of the other two and they came to the door. I slammed the door open in front of one guy and started fist fighting with the other also trying to avoid the gunshots. I was pinned down by one of the guys and I thought all was over until Sungchan came in using a 5 pound weight to knock him over.

"Maggie, are you ok?" Before I could even get myself up we were interrupted. Sungchan threw me over as I heard gunshots fire. I could see his dark silhouette fall onto the ground.

"SUNGCHAN!!!"

I Immediately went to him. "N-no"

"What the heck. Why am I not dead?"

"Huh? Why are you still talking?" I looked at his shirt and saw blue gunk on it. "Paint?" The lights turned on so I could see the other guys more clearly. I still couldn't recognize them however because of the masks they were wearing. One of them took the mask off and I was stunned. "Mark?"

"Ok, I deserve an apology. I got hit with a freaking weight."

"Sorry", said sungchan, "but I was in a life or death situation." I could see the others taking off their masks; Hendery and Jaehyun. "Woah, not bad for some newbies", said Hendery.

A lot happened after. I figured out that that was their final test. Apparently everyone was caught. Xiaojun and Johnny were both eliminated since Johnny tried to sacrifice Xiaojun to the 'intruders'. Kun was awarded points since he protected the most people and had incredible leadership skills. However, he got caught due to telling Taeyong where he was(I guess that was why Jaemin wanted me to stay with the group). The others were also caught but still got points. Me and Sungchan were awarded the most points since we were the most courageous.

"So looking at the points, it seems like Maggie is the winner", said Taeyong. I heard a mixture of cheering, sighs, and mumbles.

"As much as this is exciting", I said, "I don't think I'm ready to be a leader. So, Imma pass it to Sungchan. Can I do that?" Taeyong nodded.

"Wowww, No need to be the main character", said Chenle.

"You just made the worst decision of your life, idiot", said Yuta.
