"Shepard! Wake the fuck up!" Flock yelled into the angel's clean room. Shepard groggily sat up on his bed, wiping his beautiful white wings as he looked at his clock.
"7:10. Flock... What do you want at 7:10!?"
"I'm hungry, and you know how to cook." Flock replied, before smugly adding "And it's 7:12. Not 10." Shepard glared at the demon he called a friend, and he hissed
"You have instant noodles! Make those!"
"I like the way you make them! And remember what happened last time?" Flock said, as he recalled his previous attempt at cooking his instant noodles which resulted in the microwave exploding.
"It's fascinating how a child could make them without problems, but an adult demon struggles to remember their fork." Shepard sighed as he hopped off his bed, and looked up at Flock
"How could you ever survive without me?"
"Simple. I wouldn't." Flock laughed as he got pushed to the side of the door by one of Shepard's wings. He went over to the kitchen of their apartment and took notice of an empty noodle packet.
"Flock. You already ate." Shepard sighed as he pinched his nose bridge and turned to the tall demon. "Saying I'm hungry is the easiest way to get you out of bed. I actually need your help with getting a rogue demon." Flock said with a light grin, hoping to show that he meant no harm with his method.
"Dude, you could've just said that." Shepard sighed as he began stretching. "This demon used to be a punisher, so be wary. Get ready in 15. I'll be on the roof." Flock smiled as he walked past Shepard and out the apartment door.
"A punisher ey?" Shepard mumbled to himself as he went to his room.
"This'll hurt."
As Flock waited for his friend to leave the apartment, his right arm formed into his bone blade, and he began practicing. He prides himself on his weapon and his ability to use it. Just as he spun his blade to the door to the roof, Shepard opened the door and quickly blocked it with his own weapon, a holy spear.
"Flock, I told you about getting close to the door while you're training." Shepard said as he made his spear disappear so he can continue eating his cereal in a cup. Flock froze for a moment, before he made his arm form back and he said
"Well I thought you'd take the 15 minutes."
"I take 5 to change and make some cereal." Shepard chuckled as he continued with his cup cereal. "Right. Anyways, I was told the punisher was last in the slums before they were lost." Flock explained as he crossed his arms.
"Lost? As in gone insane or disappeared?" Shepard asked with a mouthful of cereal. "Disappeared. I was informed last night, so they shouldn't have gone too far from the slums if they moved." Flock answered, before asking
"Can I have some?"
"No. You already had your instant noodles." Shepard smugly smiled as he set his cup down beside the door "I'm finished anyways." And he extended his wings slowly
"Do I fly you over with me, or are you meeting me there?"
"Fly me. If we find the punisher, I could drop in." Flock said excitedly. "Alright, but if you put your knee on my spine again I'm flipping over in an attempt to drop you." Shepard said as Flock grabbed his shoulders.
As soon as he knew Flock was holding on tight, Shepard flapped his wings repeatedly until they were pretty high, and then he began gliding over to the slums. In around 5 minutes, they were over the slums, and Shepard hovered in the air as Flock dropped to hang on one of his legs.
"Anything?" Shepard asked, and he got the response "Nothing yet. Go around the slums."
They circled the area, and on the edge of the slums Flock saw the rogue demon and dropped down to chase them. Shepard followed in the sky, doing his best to not lose sight of either demon.
The rogue demon stopped in a large alley, and waited for Flock to catch up. They looked up in the sky and spotted Shepard, who landed on a nearby roof with his spear ready. Flock arrived soon after, already with his arm as his blade.
