Flock continued circling the warehouse, passing by the guardian angel, who remained at the front entrance, watching Shepard's angelic energy and Joshua's fallen energy combat. He turned his head to glare at Flock, who quietly turned around and was about to walk off.
"Demon, what do you see in Shepard?"
"A really good friend."
"Why should I not kill you now, now that he is busy?"
"You'll only lose someone who can possibly give you info on Hell's forces, and yet another angel."
"I'm willing to lose those."
Suddenly, the angel summoned their greatsword and charged Flock. Getting a small cut on him, Flock backed off and formed his bone blade before slashing back at him. Missing, the angel took his chance and slashed again, getting Flock on the side.
It was clear Flock was going to lose the fight, and so he chose to simply run.
"What, no honour demon?"
"You began without honor!"
The angel chased him and continued taking whatever hits he could, but suddenly a barbed whip wrapped around one of his wings, and got tugged hard. He spun around and saw Lotus, with one hand holding still the whip, and her free hand with her gun.
He swung his greatsword, blocking a shot to his head, and slammed the blade down on the whip, pulling her closer for an attack. Lotus staggered forward, and as the guardian angel slid the blade down her whip, she raised it up and crouched down to avoid the sharp greatsword.
Flock took the chance to run up and stab through his other wing, effectively grounding him permanently. As the feathers were painted red and he yelled in pain, Lotus aimed her gun and shot his leg, dropping him down to the ground.
"Damn demons!" he growled in pain, giving a glance to the warehouse, only to see Shepard's angelic energy waiting on the other side of the wall. "Traitorous bastard-" he groaned before Lotus fired her gun into his head.
"Right... Flock, what're you doing here?"
"Shep was tasked to kill a newly fallen."
"Ah."
She gave a sigh before saying "I was going to recruit them-" and Shepard got out of the warehouse. "I didn't want to, but I needed to."
"I suppose I understand... Why was the guard with you?"
"Wanted to see me in action, and apparently, get rid of Flock."
"He only got a few minor hits on me-"
"You were gonna die soon enough."
"Yeah fair. I knew I was at a loss."
"Your second one-"
"Shep, we don't need to talk of that."
Lotus giggled lightly "I'd like to hear that story sometime. But now, since he's already dead, I may as well head back home. Bye, you two." before turning around and walking away. Flock and Shepard looked at each other.
They quietly agreed to something, and went their separate ways for the time being. Shepard flew up to Heaven, and Flock opened a portal to Hell.
