It had been two weeks since Addison started to plan her proposal.

Today was the day, and Addison was anxious!!!

Meredith was on a shift for 26 hours when Bailey came to her, looking furious.

"Grey! Please tell me you weren't just on shift for the last 26 hours!"

"Bailey..."

"No Meredith, I don't need to hear those damn excuses! I know you want to get in as much hours as possible before your maternity leave but you need to rest! Damn Grey, you should not do that, it wont help you! Please go home! If the chief finds out he will kill me with his own god damn hands! So please, Meredith, go change, go home, go to sleep!"

Just when Bailey said that Meredith felt how exhausted she actually was. She just nodded, she wasn't even surprised when Bailey pulled her into a quick hug.

When Meredith got home Addison already was waiting for her.

"Hey baby, I've made some reservations, I really wanna take you out. Or are you too exhausted? You had a pretty long shift so I would totally understand if you are too exhausted and..."

"I would love to go out with you"

"Really?"

Meredith put her hands on the taller woman's waist and pulled her closer.

"Really"

Addison felt relieved.

"Than go change if you want, you don't have to, you look beautiful either way, but if you want to..."

"Yeah I'll go change"

"Than I will too. Try to be ready in an hour, okay?"

Meredith just kissed her lovingly and went upstairs.

Addison put on the bright red dress Meredith loved on her and slightly curled her hair, her makeup was already done before Meredith came home, and went back downstairs to wait for her love.

When Meredith came down the stairs Addison forgot how to breath.

The blonde had put on a beautiful black strapless cocktail dress. Her blonde hair fell in perfect waves over her fair shoulders, the deep red lipstick on her lips looked way too kissable for Addisons resistance and her green eyes sparkled underneath her smoky eyeshadow and long black lashes.

Addison just stood there. She didn't know how to move, she didn't know how to breath. This woman was hers. She couldn't believe it.

Meredith slowly came downstairs, stopped in front of the redhead and gently closed her mouth with one long finger, Addison hadn't even realised that her mouth hung open.

When she felt the smaller woman's arms around her neck she finally remembered how to use her muscles again.
She laid her arms around her girlfriends waist and pulled her as close as possible.

"Wow. You look beautiful Meredith"
"You don't look too bad yourself, honey", Merediths replied with a soft chuckle, before she connected their lips.

Addison helped her girlfriend into her coat before opening the door. Meredith let out a gasp at the white stretched limousine that just stood there in front of her house.
Addison pulled the blonde out of her stare by gently tugging her hand, before leading her to the luxury car.

"Wow Addie, this car is beautiful"

"Not as beautiful as you"

Smooth Addie, smooth, she just thought.

When the limousine came to a stop the driver opened the door for the women and after stepping out Meredith realised they stood at the port.

Addison just pulled her to a mini cruiser and they walked hand in hand up to the deck.

Nothing was on the deck except for a table with two chairs, decorated with flowers and candles.

As soon as they were on board the cruiser left the port.

Meredith went to the railing and Addison just wrapped her arms around her and rested her chin on her shoulder, her hands just absentmindedly leaving patterns on the blondes belly.

Meredith turned around and looked at the redhead with so much love in her eyes that the redhead almost felt lightheaded.

"Addie, that must've cost a fortune!"

"Dont worry about the money love, I'm rich, like crazy rich"

"Yeah but still..."

"Don't worry"

They stared out to the dark ocean and the bright stars, both caught in their own thoughts.

"Are you hungry love?", Addison asked after thirty minutes of just at watching the stars.

"I'm not but they definitely are", Meredith answered while putting a hand on Addisons hand on her belly.

"Then we have to make them happy"

The blonde just chuckled and pressed a soft kiss on the redheads lips, before they made their way to the table.

A crew member came out, carrying a tablet with two plates of pasta and two glasses of sparkling water.
As soon as Meredith tasted the pasta a soft moan left her lips and Addison was sure she would die right than and there.

She could just watch when Merediths tongue made its way over her red lips.

"This tastes amazing Addie"

"Yeah?"

"Oh yes! Come on, try it!"

And Addison did try it. And it did taste awesome.

And little did the redhead know that the blonde had very similar (dirty) thoughts to her.

Their meal was devoured with light conversation and little jokes and as soon as the pasta was eaten Addison grew more anxious than ever.

It was now or never.

As soon as the crew member took their empty plates Addison grabbed the interns hand.

"Meredith... You... You are prefect. I love you so much, you can't even imagine. You are my family, you and the twins you are carrying, and Luna... you guys are my family. And you have been through so much, and still you manage to cheer me up whenever i feel down, or whenever I lose a mother or her child in the OR, or whenever i just need cheering up... You are the strongest person that I've ever met. And I love you, so, so much. You have conquered my heart so fast... hell not only my heart but all of me. I have never felt anything like this. Never. With no one. You conquered me like a storm, you are the first and the last I think about every day, i stand up thinking about you and i go too sleep thinking about you, and in over ten years of marriage I've never ever felt like this, and I've never felt as sane as I am right now. You have the greatest soul, the most loving personality and the sweetest and most loving heart I've ever known. You are the most wonderful and perfect person in the world. I don't care about your daddy issues, in dont care about your mummy issues, i don't care about the many scars on your skin. They make you who you are, they tell your very own story. And I love you so much. And I am so happy and glad that a woman like you seems to love me just as much, it really bursts all explanations, all metaphors, alone the thought of you loving someone else feels like the worst thing ever.
I just want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I've never felt so sure about anything before in my life. I want to spend every day with you, I want to marry you. So, Meredith Grey, do you want to be my wife?"

Addison had gotten on her knees and pulled put out the ring while giving her speech. Meredith just
looked down at her, her eyes filled with happy tears, when she answered:

"Yes. Yes of course I want to be your wife!"

Addison just pulled her into her arms and slipped the ring covered in diamonds on her finger.

Both were smiling brightly when the cake was brought, eyes shining in competition with the moon. And just when Addison thought the night couldn't get any better Meredith gasped, grabbed the redheads hand and placed it on her belly, where they could feel the first real kicks of their little ones.
