You have it worse.
Or at least thats what I tell myself
For everytime you lie in bed,
You'll see my sleepy expressions,
My morning smiles,
And my crazy hair that spirals
in every direction.
Whenever you prance through your kitchen,
You'll see me
sitting by the counter,
Hovering as you cook eggs and sausage.
When you go to take a shower,
The one with the busted knobs,
You'll see me standing there,
Smiling as I was
Struggling to breathe
Because the shower head stood just as
Tall as you.
And everytime you walk up and down
The stairs in your duplex,
You'll see me,
Clinging onto the walls,
as I try not to trip and fall
Because it was too dark to see
Even a few inches infront of me...
And instead of stifling a laugh,
You'll stifle the slight ache in your heart as
You remember the distant memory
Of what once was.
