"But you're not vanilla, you're-" - Haley, 2019
***"Have you seen Haley?" Jenna swooped in the middle of a conversation between Harrison and Tom, sitting beside her fiance.
She's been looking for Haley for the past hour but she hadn't had a single sight of you. Harrison turned to his soon-to-be wife, "I was talking to her earlier but I haven't seen her since."
"Wait, you were talking to her? Why didn't you tell me?" Tom whispered at Harrison, surprised at the new information.
"I was going to tell you-"
"What are you two ladies whispering about? Help me find Haley. She's in a foreign country, she gets lost easily." Tom chuckles, knowing well enough that that is true, but answers anyway, "Maybe she's just around taking pictures and stuff."
Lisa then suddenly speaks, "Or she could be with that bartender she was talking to earlier."
Tom's ears perked up. He completely forgot about the presence of the bartender. "What bartender?" Jenna asked.
"The bartender at the open bar." Lisa answered, looking at Tom, "You know him Tom, you were even arguing with Haley about her drink earlier and then the bartender swooped in and gave her a drink."
Harrison raised his eyebrow at Tom, a bit disappointed, "You let her drink?"
"I didn't, hence, the arguing. She ordered whiskey, neat, for fucks sake! She-"
"You two have been in an awful lot of arguing since we got here. Do you not like each other?" Jenna interrupted.
Tom and Harrison looked at each other knowingly, Lisa spoke, "Why do I have a feeling that one of you dated her?"
Jenna was surprised, eyes shifting between the two British boys. "Oh God, Haley kept saying about how she knows someone named Harrison. Babe please don't tell me you dated my best friend."
"What? No! First of all, ew, that's practically incest because she's like a sister to me. I wouldn't date my sister."
"So you admit that you know her?" Jenna crossed her arms, expecting an answer that will satisfy her.
"Well uh..."
"What are you not telling me Harrison Osterfield?"
"Jenna, honey, can we talk about this later and find Haley first? 'Cause she's the worst when drunk. We might find her body ditched at the beach if we don't find her now." That was exaggeration, but at least that made all of them leave to find Haley.
Tom was the first one to leave, low-key thinking that what Harrison said might actually happen.
They all rushed to the bar where they last saw her and sure enough she was with the bartender not too far from the bar. The bartender was holding onto her, walking over to the little party by the beach.
"We got her, mate." Harrison took Haley's arm, supporting her.
"No, don't touch me." Drunk Haley pulled away, squirming out of Harrison's touch.
"Haley, let's go." Harrison tried one more time.
"No! My boyfriend will get mad at you."
Everyone's gaze turned towards the bartender and he immediately put his hands up in defense, "I'm not her boyfriend. She keeps saying her boyfriend will get mad that she's drinking, and that he had curly brown hair and is really cute. I'm blond, dude! She's cute, but I'm not a homewrecker or something."
