Flashback

It has been a month since Haley and Tom met, and the three of them, including Harrison, have been inseparable ever since.

Tom's birthday was coming up so Haley and Harrison have been planning a surprise for their precious friend. "Do you think he'll like this, though? I mean he's already rich and famous, do you think he'll appreciate this?"

"Chill, Haley, he'll love this, especially since you made this." Harrison assured Haley. It was just a simple birthday party surprise, Haley was in charge of the decorations while Harrison was in charge of the guests.

"I've talked to his brothers, Harry and Sam, they're twins by the way-"

"Oh my God, twins!"

"Yes, Haley, twins, so yeah, they've invited a bunch of his friends from Billy Elliot and others."

"That's great."

"His whole family's going to be there, also, and don't worry they're chill."

Haley eyed Harrison, "You've met them?"

"Yeah, they're nice."

She giggled, continuing the decorations in her living room, "If I didn't know any better, I would think you and Tom are dating. You would look really cute together!" Haley teased.

"We would, that's true." He chuckled, "But he's head over heels over someone, so I guess I'm out of the picture." He pouted jokingly.

"What??? Who?? Why don't I know about that??!" Before Harrison could answer, there was a rapid knock at the door. It was raining so hard and also late so they were confused as to who it could be.

Haley walked over to the door, meeting face to face with the person you have just been talking about. He then started rambling, "Look I know it's already really late and it's raining but I need to tell you something or I might explode."

"What? Uh, come inside first, you're soaking wet, Tom." Haley ushered him inside the house and good thing Harrison heard Tom's voice so he was already hiding with the decorations when the two went further inside.

Haley ran to the bathroom and grabbed a towel for Tom. "Like I said, I need to tell you something." He was out of breath, like he ran straight to her house. "What is it?"

Tom breathed out deeply and cleared his throat, "I think I like you, Haley."

"What?"

"I think I like you, no, I know I like you. I've liked you ever since the first time you took that photo of me, actually I've noticed you already the moment I came to BRIT School and when you took that photo of me, I knew I liked you, and now we've gotten close, I'm liking you more every single day, I'll explode." He was rambling and it didn't help that Haley was speechless. She's also liked Tom for a while and hearing him say those things made her like him more.

"Haley?"

Still speechless.

"Oh for fuck's sake, Haley, say something!" Harrison walked out from where he's hiding, already frustrated at the two.

"Harrison?" Tom asked, confused at his sudden presence.

"Don't worry, mate, I'm only here as a friend. God Haley just say something!"

That snapped Haley out of her thoughts and Tom was looking at her with hopeful eyes. "Tom, I uh, I like you too."  Tom's smile turned into a grin. "R-really?"

Haley nodded, "I've liked you for a while now."

Harrison then interrupted, again, "Isn't this sweet? Now kiss."

"What?"

"Kiss her, mate!"

"I uh-"

Instead of waiting for Tom to kiss her, Haley did it herself, pulling on the strings of his jacket and placed her lips on his. Tom was shocked at first but he quickly gave in, kissing her back.

"Woo! Oh God, my two best friends. I love you guys so much, especially together. Just don't be gross with each other."

Haley woke up with a pounding headache, a hangover so bad that she didn't miss it after two years of not being drunk.

It was already noon when she woke up so it was just her in the room, Tom obviously not around.

She sat up a bit, holding her head when she saw a note by the side table with a medicine on it and a water.

'Hangover sucks, but you did it to yourself so you suck, too.'

Haley instantly knew that it was from Tom remembering his handwriting all too well. She couldn't help but smile at the note. It wasn't a nice note but it felt nostalgic because Tom had always left notes like that when he took care of her.

She downed the medicine and started fixing herself to go out.

"I thought you died." Jenna greeted her the moment Haley stepped into their room. It was much bigger so it was the place the four of them agreed to hang out.

"You didn't need to shout, geez." Haley sat beside her best friend, hand covering the ear next to her.

"I wasn't shouting but how are you? Hung over?"

Haley nodded, "My head is pounding like hell. Do you have water?"

With that instant, Harrison put a glass of water in front of Haley. She drank it in one go, looking at Harrison, "Uh, Haz, who uh, who took care of me last night? Did I do something? Was I still-"

"Yes, Hales, you're still the wildest drunk I've ever seen and Tom took care of you." Harrison answered, glancing at Tom for a second who's on his phone by the window.

"What did I do?"

"Oh you know, you danced with the bartender and the kept saying that your boyfriend will be so mad if you get drunk." Jenna chuckled.

"Boyfriend? I don't have a boyfriend."

Jenna smirked, looking at Tom, "Yeah, you said curly brown hair and he's really cute."

Haley's eyes widened, "I did what?!"

"Yeah, that's why he took care of you. He really knows how to take care of you when drunk, huh." Haley looked everywhere but her best friend's eyes. "Haley, you also said he isn't vanilla. Oh my God, was he kinky?"

"Oh my God, Jenna! Please stop! Did I really say that?!"

"Shit, now I get it, the scratch marks on Tom's neck and back before." Harrison wondered out loud.

Haley hid her face behind her hands in embarrassment, "I'm begging for this chair to swallow me whole."

"Why didn't you tell me about Tom? I thought we're best friends." Haley raised her head to look at Jenna, lips frowning.

She sighed before answering, "Jenna, I'm sorry, I just, you know we don't really talk about exes and the reason we're all here is because of you and Harrison, and not me and Tom. I don't want to make it all about me."

Harrison eyed Haley because he knows well enough that she's just bullshitting Jenna. He knows Haley more than she knows herself, even after years of not seeing each other.

"It's okay, but no more secrets, Haley. We can talk all about it after the wedding, huh? Okay so back to my question, was he really kinky?" Jenna rested her head on her hand, leaning in close to Haley to get the juicy gossip.

Before Haley could answer, though, Tom stood up and moved the chair rather loud, walking past the table the three were in and went to the bathroom. Jenna sensed the uneasy tension in the room so she decided not to press on the topic anymore.
